It is a lot easier for the guys- the women not so. Long sleeves and floor length dresses. Remember this before you commit the family- got to keep the little women happy, evolved in our hobby and riding next to us. SOMETIMES!

Re: Burlap sack seats?
I use Sunbrella fabrics. They last a long time and are breathable. One can go crazy looking at all the swatches. I will try to post a picture of my car. I just put a new top on- the last Sunbrella top lasted 22 years. Another plus is that you can do sew it yourself on a good machine or use a furnitu...

Re: 1941 Model T motor
This motor was in a 1925 TT truck. It was in a hot fire that burned all the wood, melted the aluminum fan hub, coils, warped the frame and depressed the front spring. It came out of a Taft, California oil field. It had a very serious bed on it- the "U" bolts are huge.

1941 Model T motor- maybe! Lets see what the experts think! "41" the only cast date on the motor Not a 15,000,000 serial number No casting date on the head- only a "Y" Hog head is a 26/27 configuration for the wide brake drum; BUT, no ears to attach to the motor- never had any- not a modified castin...

That is a fantastic car! To nice for me to take out, run it hard, slightly abuse it and put it away wet! Maybe give it a once a year hosing off. Restore it? Not really worth doing in this market. Re: Front cross member "heavier steel", thickness?
I have a later- thick frame. It measures .187 thick . The front cross member is about .156 allowing for very little paint and rust. This is a '26/27 frame. I had a '25 frame that was the .187 thickness but, the cross members were the thinner- maybe the .125. These are both stock, unmolested frames.

Another factor in this lowering problem is that the torque tube should never go beyond level- even on the biggest bump with your other-in-law riding with you. This is very bad for the universal joint! As I remember this gives you about 7" to play with. I have found that 7" is normally enough!

Works great to clean out radiators, especially on Model A's that have had 50 years of water pump grease in them. A little goes a long way
