There were many options offered for the T back in the day that provided a direct, under and overdrive. I have had 2 Jumbo Giant units in previous T's, worked well for me. Rich are you also on the Ford Barn? There have been some good discussions on that subject over there.


Myself I had my 41 panel and my 41 tonner redone by a local mom and pop place. The did a fine job of recreating the original systems.

I am not sure if this topic is in here someplace or not but I was encouraged to post on the subject from 2 other members so here it goes. Hope you guys like it. This is one of my other toy's or hobbies. 1926, 25 horse Witte throttle governed. Weighs about 4500 lbs, runs like a Swiss watch.

Perhaps an AA spare tire carrier similar to the one above. I put one on one of my TTs a long time ago

Gave it a factory look and worked well, pain to use but I figured I would not use it often.

Here is a photo of mine on the 18. I was able to re-use my metal and the nails when I installed a new wood firewall. Took some work to get the nails out. (keeping with the old look).

I finished up installing the tack strip and arm rest wood pieces. Looks better now. Thanks to JP Autowood for those pieces, needed a bit of bending and adjusting but turned out well. 2 sizes of top prop nuts??

Would anyone know the correct size of the prop nut outer diameter? My 18 has 2 sizes. These are the rounded fasteners that hold the top bows on to the socket arm on each side of the car.

I wanted to give a good shout out to Russ. He restored this speedometer for me, looks great and works well. We kept the original patina on the bezel so it would still match the pickup. Russ has been very helpful and communicative, an asset to the T hobby for sure.

Early TT

This photo comes from the same family member as the earlier post and shows her grandfather in the TT in 1941. The information we have is that he was delivering ice in the truck at age 9 or 10. He later drove over the road for a very long time in addition to do other work over the years.
