Run the water in the inlet on the side of the engine. That way all cylinders will get needed cooling water. You may want to make up some sort of plumbing to get the water away from the front of the head which is just above the commutator.

Re: Old Photo - Mail and Express TT

The body on the truck is aftermarket and not a Ford product. This would have been sold as a chassis. I am making an educated guess that the truck is a 1918 or 1919. The rear wheel looks to be a 23 inch wheel which was used on the early chassis. Also If I look very closely at the rear axle center I ...

Re: Transmission autopsy: Bad driving?

As Steve said the outer blue discoloration is indicative of a lot of dragging. Your low band has been too tight or slipped aggressively causing excessive heat which has caused the drum to crack and come apart. The heat came first then the drum was rendered asunder.

Screw the puller extra tight, add a big hammer blow to the end of the screw. Repeat as needed.

I assemble the components of the steering column dry on the bench and then put a generous amount of grinding compound to the gears themselves. Then rotate th...

Tim: New tops always have a little bit of material that has to be trimmed off after installation. Even if the top in the box has shrunk some it will most likely still fit.

Very interesting directions. There is a disconnect between the focusing of the lamps and the McBeth lens. The McBeths don't seem to have any connection to better lighting.

Thanks for posting.

Re: Help with Hassler shock repair

I have decided to use standard bushings and reduce them in size to fit the hasslers. That seems to be the quickest way to move the project forward. Thanks for your input Steve. Reaming the original part is a good option. I had not thought of going that way.
