Re: Massacre (photo)

Time wise, it could have been a WWII scrap drive. A 1925 auto would have been 17 years old in 1942. It would also explain why the tires were removed as new tires were very difficult to obtain by civilians in WWII. My grandfather's first car was a used 1926 Studebaker touring car. It was still a good...

In the 50's, when I was a child, we would pass junk yards with cars piled up like this while on road trips with my parents. Kingston L vs Holly NH

My 1915 came to me with a Holly NH carburetor installed and an uninstalled, unrestored, Kingston L carburetor.

I believe the Kingston L carburetor would be a typical carburetor for my car when it was new.

What are the pros and cons of each carburetor?

How hard is it to rebuild a Kingston L?

    Spark plug recommendations?

I have a 1915 with the stock head and would like to know what spark plugs folks recommend. The vendors sell adapters for plugs with 14mm threads. The 14mm plugs are less expensive, do they perform as well? Thanks.

This photo was taken Oct 10, in my backyard. The fawn seems really young for so late in the season.

Some trivia I learned at the 2019 Jamboree: Sault is the French word for rapids. Sault Sainte Maire translates to the rapids of Saint Mary.

I believe the Michigan Jamboree was in Iron Mt. in 2016. Perhaps somebody could share a copy of that years tour book, with that year's tour routes.

My understanding is the Jamboree will be in Lower MI for 2020. I think I heard SW MI, but I cannot recall for sure.

In Iron Mountain: Ford Glider Museum, Cornish Pump Museum, Ski Jump top of Pine Mountain are all favorite sites of mine. September could be a great month to tour as the weather is still nice and most vacationers are gone.

Consider posting the link to the auction listing in the classified parts section of the forum. While the auction doesn't appear to have Model T parts per se, the ad might still be of general interest to forum members.

    OT Question about Model N, R, S

I enjoyed viewing the pictures of the Ford Model N / R that was recently sold in the classified section of the forum. I noticed the engine had two spark plugs per cylinder. Not being familiar with these cars, can someone explain to me how that works? Thank you.

I am certainly by no means an expert, but I had read the previous forum posts on screwdrivers when they came up, and here are my conclusions, and again I am no expert. 1.Ford didn't make their own screwdrivers, they were manufactured by outside suppliers. 2. Because of the volume of cars produced be...

There is a screwdriver on eBay now, if you search on the part number you should be able to find the listing. It is not perfect, and at $50, not cheap. The photos on the listing are clear and sharp, so if nothing else you can get a good photo of the proper screwdriver.

I have the above handle installed on my 1915 roadster. It works great for moving the lever forward to engage 2nd gear, and also for releasing 2nd gear. It is awkward for engaging the emergency / hand brake. When the lever is pulled all the way back, the extension handle does not clear my seat. Since...

My car also came with an uninstalled top when I bought it, and earlier this month I finally had it installed. The top kit did not have the roll up rear window. I had my top installer add two zippers to the rear panel, so that I can have the increased visibility in good weather of a roll up rear wind...
