Where to stay in Chickasha with WIFE for swap meet

Planning to attend the final swap meet and traveling with my spouse and non-T friends. Are there any recommendations for a nice hotel? My body cannot do the Jelf/o/bag and the wife and friends won't accept cockroaches, bedbugs or non-descript continental breakfasts.

Thanks
Bill

Re: What have you done to your Model T in December?

I made a 8 hour round trip in one day to pick up my repaired 14 engine. Its been in the engine hospital for over a year after an unwanted downgrade to a 2 piece crank. New counter-balanced crank, new bearings and new pistons. Engine is now back in the car, but have to wait til 2020 to button it up.

Re: Would like to see a new Forum section for discussing modern accessories for your Model T

If we don't allow developers to share their ideas and designs here if they are willing before they proceed into production then there could be two different outcomes. !. a really good and well thought out project may get scrapped for an apparent lack of interest or 2. a product may hit the market th...

Re: Are the reproduction Exhaust manifolds correct for 14?

Thanks for the replys and advice. One thing I forgot to mention (due to a slipping clutch in my brain) is that the rear exhaust port on my block has seen some repair in the past and therefore I will use a new manifold. Don't want to risk any more damage to the block.

Re: SCAT crank or not?

I am having a Scat crank installed in my engine as part of a rebuild. The original crank broke and I decided that I would rather have a crankshaft that had not been used for 100 years in a T that may have been lugged, run retarded, had the mains improperly aligned, run with a bad coil or dozens of o...

Re: Are the reproduction Exhaust manifolds correct for 14?

Thank you
That explanation of the warpage issue makes total sense. This will be another deliberate change, along with rear end thrust bushings, front wish bone and the reason for the engine rebuild, a Scat crank to replace the broken original!

Are the reproduction Exhaust manifolds correct for 14?

I am stockpiling parts for my early 14 touring (late Oct 1913) while the engine is being rebuilt. Is the current reproduction exhaust manifold correct for an early 14 T? I am trying to keep the car as year correct as is easily possible.

Re: Factory frame identification

If the officer is being a hard*** do NOT stamp any numbers in the frame!! It is against Federal Law to do so (yea I know many people do it on a T)
He might become unhinged and we don't want that.

Only the passengers will enjoy the view. The driver will be keeping the car under control and should NOT be sightseeing!1

Antique car registration cost in AZ?

My stepson just moved to Goodyear and offered me a permanent parking place for one of my old cars. (No the T stays in Calif) What is the yearly registration cost of an antique car in AZ? If you need more info, it will probably be my 61 Metropolitan if I accept his offer.

Thanks

Re: Please dont put this in the OT..Need help on a stuck Model A head and distributor

When it happened to me, I removed the head with the dist still installed. Unfortunately the dist did not survive the attempt at removal so I bought a new repop dist assembly and used lots of never-seize during reassembly.

Re: Need a Liquid epoxy liner for repair to damage fuel tank

Caswell plating has a 2 part fuel tank sealer that I used in my 28A beater pickup 3 years ago. So far it has worked quite well and I have had NO issues with it. Lots better than stopping every 10 miles to clear the rust from the filter.

Re: Have you ever made a stupid mistake?

Sometimes simple sounding mistakes can take days to fix. In the early 90's I was working on a 1948 Invicta (British car) with a 6 cyl Meadows engine. The Meadows engine resembles a 6 cyl Jaguar but a lot harder to work on. I had to install the head and get it running. Two timing chains, dual overhea...

I actually dropped by the Brassworks on Fri to order a new radiator for my 14. Lee said 5-6 weeks and he would move the id plate over from my old radiator. He said this is the slow part of the year for them, otherwise it would be a longer lead time. Wow, does he have a lot of radiators there being r...

Mine is simple, Its my 14 the day I pulled it out of the barn after sitting through 1 earthquake, several generations of cats and being used as storage for pipe fittings, gunny sacks and garage sale treasures. The barn blew down in a rainstorm 2 years later. The earthquake shook 1/4" of dust over it.
