Re: Radiator cleaner recommendation

If the fins are not tightly bonded to the tubes, cleaning will not help you much. This happens with antique radiators. If cleaning doesn't improve the situation, you will have to either re-core it or buy a new radiator. I think that old radiators are the biggest reason why people can't drive their T...

Re: Bigger valves?

I discovered that my '12 roadster has larger intake valves when I did a valve job. They are shortened Fordson tractor valves. Replaced the burned
stock T exhaust valves, but kept the intakes as they looked real good. Not sure if there is enough room for the same size exhaust valve.

Magneto Questions

Just getting used to driving with coils on magneto after 10 years of using a True Fire/battery ignition. Magneto Problem Solved! A saga in 3 chapters.

I'm happy to say that for the first time in many years, Jenny, my 1912 roadster is running strong on magneto. Re: Show your T

I noticed "no comments" within the gallery photos. I tried to leave one, but the "post a comment" tab is missing on all the photos. Not sure how you would leave a comment.

Re: Exhaust Nut Wrench

I purchased one of the special wrenches, "just in case" a few years back. When it came time to do a valve job, I discovered that the nut on the manifold was larger than the span of the wrench. Don't know how that came to be, but a pipe wrench worked fine for me.

Re: Whats the Name of your T?

My 1912 roadster is named Jennie, after my mother-in-law who gave us the car when her husband passed away 10 years ago. He bought it (not running) in 1972 for $500.
