I believe they are woodworth springs and do what John said. I had a set on my '24 roadster for a time but took them out when swapping an axle. Didn't really see a need to use them. Besides, if you accidentally put them in backwards ya gotta big mess, so I was told.

Don't do pics but snagged 5 wire wheels and four hubs for the '26 touring. Had them painted by a friend, got new Lucas tires, tubes @ Snyders. First ride the wife and I were amazed at the difference rode and handled so much better. Wingnut

They are crane brake lining, I had them in both my T's they worked well and held adjustments. Pedals felt hard as rocks with them, when I had Joe Bell do my engines he was dead against them for reasons stated in his post. Silver solder is the way to go, I did my 26/7 brass shell with it and then to plating at La Brandi in Pa. has held up for 20 years.

If you think it's too tight then back it of a smidge. Allen has it right, 30 years as a UPS mechanic has taught me to fly by the seat of my pants ,if you feel good about it then run it, easy enough to readjust after a few go rounds .

The Lincoln runs along Rt. 30 near Wooster, there known as Lincolnway East or West , I'm not far from it and would like to putz along also. There are many things the area to see also , one of our All Ohio jamborees was near there held in Berlin.
