Hello, I encountered the same interference problem recently with a 26 when adding a water pump. Very simple solution is to make two round spacers with holes in the center for longer water inlet/water pump mounting bolts to give you the clearance you need to mount the horn with the original bracket....

I got this pump to go with my '26 touring. Probably not correct with the brass body but I like it. I tried to determine the size. First glance just figured 1/8" pipe, but way smaller than that. 1/4" fine slips in, 5/16" too big. Got it in my mind that it might be the same size as a valve stem. Acts ...

Tire pump hose fitting - Found
I have this pump that I just installed a rebuild kit in. I am missing the fitting on the base to connect the hose to. Does anyone know where to get one?

Thanks for all the help. Since I can't go original I will lean toward Parkerizing. I have the stuff to do it as a home project and with a rub down of oil afterwards it will be excellent protection.

Yes, this seems to be a very simple answer with a complex solution. I don't foresee myself reheat treating and tempering all the tools

What is black finish on tools?
I have some tools from tool kit that are rusting. I would like to protect them and make them look original. Did they come from the factory parkerized, or some other finish?
