Re: Holley G Carb. Rebuild
I do have that book and there are many great and ideas and suggestions in there about how to rebuild the carb. and also proper float level settings for other carbs but I was surprised that the Holley G float level setting wasn't in there.

Re: Holley G Carb. Rebuild
I’m also wondering if I should add an in-line fuel filter because I crank and choke and crank and just can’t start car. And then i check plugs and they are dry. Fuel just isn’t flowing and after reading that this ball valves are very sensitive to debris, I’m thinking a filter might be what it needs ...

Holley G Carb. Rebuild
My 1915 Touring Car is running rough at higher rpm after I’ve replaced all ignition components and I’ve decided to go through the carb. and make sure it is ok as I have never done this yet on this car and feel that some issue with it is probably the culprit. I have discovered that instead of a needl...

Re: foot pedal on floor
i finally got a chance to check the pedal out in more detail. It has the tooth that locks it down and the spring……so it looks like i had an exhaust cutout at one time.

foot pedal on floor
There is a strange little foot pedal in the center of the floorboards just forward of the seat that is no longer hooked up to anything on my 1915 touring car. What was the purpose of the pedal?

Re: Brass Top Model T Coil
So, if the metal top plate is brass, why does it look like copper? Is it red brass?

Brass Top Model T Coil
Hello Everyone, I am in the process of restoring my 1915 Model T Ford Touring car to original condition. It is my understanding that the correct ignition coils for this car are “brass top coils.” Is this correct? And if so, does this mean that the metal plate on the top of the coil is made of brass?...

Compression Test Results
Hello Everyone, I bought this car last year. It has always run rough since I bought it. In an effort to try to get it running smoothly, I decided to start my diagnostics with some compression testing. This car has an aftermarket high compression head which I’m guessing probably increased the ratio t...

Holly G Carburetor Mixture Setting
Does anyone know what setting I should use for the initial mixture control setting on this Holly G carburetor? The rod that controls it was binding and in the process of fixing that, I stupidly forgot to note the exact setting before I started messing with it.

Re: Cam shaft seal issue
yes, i did use a centering tool and it does seem to be centered ok. i suspect the photo from an angle makes it look otherwise. Those are some really good ideas! I have it setting up right now but I’m going to get out there before the “glue” dries and see if i can make one of your ideas work. The sur...

Cam shaft seal issue
Hello Everyone, I just installed a new rubber cam shaft seal and was surprised when the outer lip of the seal still had not made contact with the cam shaft when the seal was pressed in all the way. Has anyone else had this problem? Maybe I could have used a press to distort the inner part of the sea...

Aluminum Head Identification
Hello Everyone, My name is Brian. I am a new member. I bought a 1915 touring car last year that has an after market aluminum head on it. It has the Ford Script on top as well as the “made in the usa” and also a letter “R” right in front of the coolant outlet. I am trying to figure out which head thi...
