I suspect that you simply may not have enough fuel flowing to keep up with your U&J carb. They are not known for fuel efficiency because they are kind of a zoom zoom carb and that is why you notice the improved performance on the lower end. Try a little bit larger fuel line. If you have a fuel filte...

Re: Hudco transmission cover

I have one of these that I believe is an unused perfect Hudco hogshead. It was a challenge to purchase at the auction where I bought it, lots of interest and bidding. I will take some pictures of it today. The advertisement in the link does a very nice job of describing it. I would consider selling ...

Factory Made T power unit cart for sale

I have a very nice factory made power unit cart with iron wheels. I is comprised of 3-4 cast iron components, the 4 iron wheels, and 2 iron straps, all 100% complete and original. The rear most piece has a large pulley (commonly used with the big flat canvas or leather belts during the steam years) ...

Re: For Sale 30x3.5 Demountable wire wheels

Clarification: I had a call asking if I was charging for delivery to Marietta. I read my add again and agree that it might look like that. Sorry for that. I will provide Free of Delivery Charges (which can exceed $200 for UPS for 4-5 boxed wheels) to Marietta or Chickasha or points along the way. I ...

Re: For Sale 30x3.5 Demountable wire wheels

I am currently planning to attend the Marrietta Swap Meet in March so I could deliver these wheels either there or along the way. Shipping ranges from $30 to $45 per box and this would be 5 boxes if the buyer wishes to have the 2 extra demo table rims. Last chance to get this type of demountable wir...

Wanted- 32x4 clincher tire

I am looking for a needle in a haystack for a project I am working on. I have a 24 inch clincher rim that can take any of the 3 following size clincher tires: 32 inch x 4 inch, 815 mm x 105 mm, or 810 mm x 90 mm. This can be an older tire as long as it can be mounted and can hold air. I will use a n...

Re: We're About to Get Hammered

I live right off Interstate 80 in eastern Iowa. Already scooped 4 inches of snow early this morning. Looks like another 3 or so but now the wind is blowing pretty strong. 29 degrees with 20 degree wind chill factor. Plows seem to be waiting till snow stops. Cannot complain cuz it has not been a bad ...

Re: Pedal Shaft Sealing

Hi Scott, You mentioned that you may have tooling available for machining recesses in hogsheads for lip type seals. I have the number for the readily available seals. I think I sent a PM to you last evening but not sure that worked. I have several aluminum and cast iron hogsheads for my own projects...

Stan,
I know that you feel like you are getting on in age but man you are undisputably one heck of a carburetor restorer. You take those things and restore them to works of art. I wish you many many more years of good health and stamina to help all of us who need your skills. Mike Lebsack
