Re: I need a battery
For a "T" without a starter, I use a 6V dry cell flashlight battery to tickle the coils. Hide it under the seat. A fresh one will last 4-5 years if just used for starting.

How about Grainger's or McMaster-Carr? I've had good luck with them in the past.

Re: When is there too much rust?
I'll chime in along with the other folks here. It's just not worth the risk of using what is at the very least a part in questionable condition. Source a good one and toss this one aside.

The lights on my '13 will accept either style (tapered or flat). They pop up on EBay once in a while. That's where I got mine.

I'm guessing that original lenses in acetylene headlamps were made of a glass that would withstand high temps?

Re: installing a period style battery box
The old dry cell "hot shot" batteries are still available. Both Duracell and Rayovac still make them. My local hardware store sells them. I only use them for cold starting and they last about 3-4 years.

Re: Hershey - Who's going and who's bringing Lizzie? And what was it like to bring a car?
I've been going to Hershey since 1976. I showed my Model "A" roadster there many years ago and received a National First Place award. It's a lot of fun, but also a lot of work if you are presenting a car for judging. As someone else mentioned, park your trailer off site and drive in. The whole show ...

Also the battery cloaking device on EBay is in group 2 battery case. Not sure if that will fit in your "T". It will not fit in a Model "A" as tha...

Early wishbone reinforcement
I know this has been discussed in the past, but I'd like to get some current thoughts on the topic. I recently bought a '13 touring with its original front axle/wishbone assembly. My intent is to tour with the car once I get it sorted out. I know that the early wishbone attachment on the top of the ...
