Arrived in Bakersfield Thursday afternoon, sold a car, T rear end and 14 T engine. Arrived early Friday morning. My vendor space was great, lots of parts sold. Steven I take my hat off to you for all your he effort you put on into Bakersfield old car swap meet. Looking forward to next year.

New price $4,000. Located in Upland Ca. On engine stand if local you can take a look. Aluminum pistons 60 over, was rebuilt by local engine guy 20 years ago. Has always run great. It has completed many tours engine has always run great.

I would drop the pan and check your clearance on all the rods. easy to do and would eliminate of obvious.

I had the same identical problem, checked everything. Finally out of frustration I changed timer for the third time but this time I replace all the ignition wires on the firewall. That solved the problem for me.

I used sand paper. Get some one inch rolled up sandpaper. Easy to strip spokes, get 30 gallon plastic trash can put rin on top and start sanding. Won’t take long. Steve, I had the same issue with my 11 t. I went to Costco bought a couple jugs of their vinegar. Use a plastic bucket, totally submerged. 1st time I heated the vinegar up prior to using, but I found leaving bucket in the hot California sun provided enough heat. Need to leave it most of the day, but...

Make sure your roller on the timer is not 180 degrees off. That will produce the effects you descibed while trying to start car.

Have your taken your timer off recently and replace or cleaned the bruch or roller. Easy to get timing 180 degrees off.
