Re: Rare T KRW Tool

With respect, look at what Steve sold: a NOS period tool, with original instructions and its original mailing envelope - all for a tool which was just one step up from a throw-away item after 100 years of existence. This was not bought to restore engines. It's a display piece. It is not a tool that...

Thanks for sharing. :D … and an outside oil line ! ;o) Sorry but that won’t happen. Besides #22 has a water pu...

This poor old T has been severely abused by "farmer" fixes over its life.

Re: Startermotor on a Openvalve Engine

I will never understand the obsession with cobbling up an antique with complicated retrofit “bandaids”. If you can’t abide your T the way it was built, drive something that pleases you. Please don’t butcher an intact, complete historic vehicle for the sake of perceived “convenience”. Driving / owni...

Can you show us the picture of the hearse?

We need to remember how many children died in the days of no antibiotics or vaccines. My grandmother lost 3.

Yes the hearse body looks exactly like it did in the picture. I will put it on a later brass car. I know some don’t like a children’s hearse but it is part of our history too.

I am very happy to have them.

#22 is home

I purchased Model T serial number 22 from Aardeen Vaughn this week and just got the car home today. Many years after use the body was taken off and a child’s herse body was put on the car. I have a 1911 project so I also bought the herse body and will put that body on. The wood carving on the herse ...

Re: How many cars in a T built from parts?

I am 65 years old. My Dad was hauling in model T stuff before I was born in 1960. I can guarantee you that a vast majority of model T’s out there were put together from parts. Very few are the complete original car even if the guy tells you otherwise. We pulled many bodies out of washes, took wagon ...

Re: Non Demountable Wheels on Late T's

I own an original 1926 roadster pickup and it has nondemountable rims. But it does have a starter. All things like demountable rims, starters were still extras. But by this time many dealers ordered in cars with these extras and priced the package together not really telling the customer he could ge...

Re: An auxilery transmission question?

Henry knew what he was doing. Keep it stock and enjoy your car. My Dad was hauling in T’s back in the 50’s so when I was born in 1960 I grew up with model T’s. I would hate to think of all the Ruxtells we sold to guys insisting that they wanted that overdrive! You could not convince them that they w...

Re: Estate Auction of Sam Cipriano's Automotive Collection

This is 2025! A very poor way to auction some very rare parts. There should be internet bidding with very clear pictures of each lot. Aumann would have done a much better job for the seller. I won’t be driving up north in late November

Bill Squire delivered the car today. You only have to look at the lettered pedals and the teeth on the quadrant to know this is an original, hardly ever driven car. I will pop the cover on the transmission and look around, change the oil and drive it around the section to hear it run. Then it goes i...

Who makes nice round fellow wood spoke wheels for a 1913? Did Ford ever sell the car with natural wood wheels or was everything painted body color in 1913?
