Re: Engine Temp question - not what you think....

Here's the behind the scenes reason for the question. I could not find the "pinch nut" small block chevy rod nuts I normally use (what a messed up broken world this is) and after seeing what happened to the inside of this 25 engine I do not want to use cotter pins in it. I did find some nylocs (afte...

Fuel taxes pay for roads.
Taxes are sky-high, and we have a "shell military"?
you haven't come to MA - fuel taxes excise taxes - "eh, road's only 50 years old and hasn't reached 100% 3ft deep potholes yet - it's fine."

Episode 15 is now out. Skip back to Ep8 as well - I forgot to release that until I noticed yesterday!

Engine Temp question - not what you think....

Has anyone figured out what the temperature of the oil/crankshaft/mains/rods is inside a Model T when running well (and also when boiling over)?

Silicon head gasket questions

Says in Langs that it "will not work with the z head" - anyone know why? What about working with the Prus head (also aluminum)? Anyone measured the thickness of that vs copper? "Premium silicone head gasket. This head gasket has a solid steel core inside heavy-duty high density gasket material coate...

Re: Scat crankshafts

Called Langs to order $4k worth of parts - No new Crankshaft, no new 280 cam, no new distributor. Who's got them in stock TODAY? Customers car (see my 25 touring thread for the videos of it). This was supposed to be a two week turnover, I don't have room to store it here while I wait for parts to be...

Re: 1925 Touring Car Project

I have not had to replace rings on my 1924 yet, but the questions/answers on Lang's website regarding rings for aluminum pistons implies that the Hastings rings are believed to be superior, hence their higher price. https://www.modeltford.com/item/3023AH.040.aspx I will take your advice on this. Re: 1925 Touring Car Project

Question for the old timers. Back when I built this engine the first two times I obviously put new rings in it. I can't remember if I got grant or hastings brand. I think I remember getting the one I didn't want due to a backorder. Pretty sure they both came from the same company and one of them was...
