Re: 1913 runabout body
I originally thought this was a typical 1912 until i put the Firewall on. I found out quickly that this wasnt a later 1912 but rather a late 1911. So, i purchased a Dec 1911 motor for it. Bought a scat crank and am in the process of rebuilding it. A good man from Colorado repoured the mains and the ...

He actually, if you watched the video , recommends bar keepers liquid you can buy at home depot. He used simichrome as well which does a great job. But, maybe its good to try the liquid bar keepers just to see how well it performs.

Many of the new axle sleeves are made incorrectly. Two things: 1. There are differences between early and late models. 1/2” vs. 3/4” dimple from edge. Many are just fabricated without exact spec in mind… and the dimple is off. 2. Hole position. There are left/rights . Axles turn opposite the bearing...

WTB: 30x3 and 30x3.5 unused tires
Ok. So here is my preference if you have some: 1. 2 Black smooth 30x3.5 (rear) tires to match the 2 smooth fronts I already have. I am also looking for , in addition too ! : 2. 2 White 30x3's and 2 White 30x3.5's (front/rear set). and, as a last resort: 3. blockley (yep, I'll do it! Don't make me pu...

WTB: 1912 Torpedo Roadster Door Knob
I know I can buy the 1911 brass ones, and I did. But, I would rather have the 1912 knob (brass plated steel)
if someone has one lying around. It's cone shaped... skinny, not like the bulbous 1911 one they sell at the vendors.
I'll post a pic soon.

I’m not sure thats what you want. Mine is a 1912 model year block. No threads on I/O ports only on the freeze plugs as others have stated.
But i have lots of pictures!

Re: I have finished my stand.
Allan, I'm sorry that happened to your son. I do like the yard art! Off the top of my head, I see about 21 model T parts there: 1. spindle (shoulders) 2. spindle bushing 3. castle nut (hips) 4. hyatt bearing (thighs biceps) 5. hyatt bearing ends (knees) 6. connecting rod (hammer handle) 7. pull rod ...

Gray, green, blue, red, and black! Whatever you want$$
And “rust” color
But, absolutely NO white tires! You can have any color you want as long as it’s “gray!”

My Toyota Tundra 1794 Ed. Gets 21mpg on real gas. 630 miles for a 30 gallon tank! At most gas stations in NC i only get about 496 miles on the fuel here. They water it down with ethanol and benzene!

Re: What have you done on your T in August?
Mike Wow, lack of foresight almost ruined your post. God bless his heart…. To answer your post: I’ve been working on a rear clamshell differential that would NOT have benefitted anyone if i hadnt restored it. It was a total loss on the drivers side…. But, i had different plans for it! As you know, t...

Is there a reason why people haven't put these 2511AS on the inside of the pumpkin facing out behind the sleeves to keep the oil just in the pumpkin?
I haven't tried this yet... just asking questions before I get there.

I’ve been there and done that! IMG_0056.jpeg I’ve sent everything out to be powder coated while i Rebuild the rear differential. Painted a rust proof coating on all my fenders. Painted the Frame black. Had a new 4140 steel ring machined for the flange and new bushings installed. Put together a new e...

After reading how people replied to my post I went and measured the new bearings that they suggest from the parts dealers. What I found was actually shocking. Both measured 0.124 I guess I'm the sucker for buying the new stuff? The extra 0.08 would definitely let it clear the housing and keep it cen...

3 to 1 Ring Gear Shim Experience Question
Hello, I am in the process of rebuilding my rear differential which I decided to move to a 3to1 gear ratio. I placed one half of the differential case, plus two thick washers and 1 modern bearing on the drivers side and turned it to see how it did without ring gear shims. It is rubbing. Not by much....

Marshall's Locksmith
4205 Poole Rd.
Raleigh, NC 27610
will cut you a new key for a globe toolbox without an original. The price was $68 , 3 keys. Each key was $8 each. $44 for 44 minutes worth of debug. Definitely worth it!
