Re: 24' Touring Changing Front Wheel Bearing
Thanks Allan for your advice, my gut was telling me what you were advising in needing to match a good new cup with the new bearing but my eyes were the little devill on my other shoulder telling me that looks like too much work. But your explanations and pictures helped. I am not going the heat rout...

I have a 24' Touring that I am in the process of changing out a front wheel bearing. It had a Timken roller bearing that was badly packed so it was shot and has the old inner and outer cup in place for the roller bearings. I am replacing the bearing with another Timken roller bearing. My question is...

Re: WTB Hayes rims 30 x 3.5 with footed lugs.
Scott,
Thanks for the info on the ebay rims. I have found the same issue as there are so many out there but they are seem very pitted and not in great shape. I don't know how to wade through all those rims to zero in on any good potentials on ebay. I guess I need to be patient and persistent.

WTB Hayes rims 30 x 3.5 with footed lugs.
Looking for Hayes rims for my 23" wheels. I have a 1924 Touring that already has 30 x 3.5 Hayes demountable wheels and rims on the front. Looking to match the back which currently has the all wood non-demountable rims. I have 2 Hayes fellows that I need to match some rims.
