Model T activities in Illinois
I live in Arizona and am an active member of three clubs in the Phoenix area. However, I have family in Illinois in the Bradley, Bourbonnais, and Kankakee areas south of Chicago. I'm interested to know if there are local clubs nearby and/or Model T and Model A enthusiasts to contact. My wife and I m...

applying Spar varnish to firewall
I found a post on this forum a couple of years ago about applying thinned Spar varnish to the firewall with a cloth, and it worked great. I want to do it again for another car but I can't remember if it should be a 50/50 percentage or something else. Also, I can't remember if I used turpentine or mi...

Re: Dashboard Pocket Watch Holder
This is great! Thanks, Wayne. A lot of more expensive automobiles had dash mounted clocks , sometimes as part of the standard equipment, sometimes as a factory option. Sometimes, some automakers, would have their name put on the factory authorized clocks. Often they did not. Most dash mounted automo...

Re: Dashboard Pocket Watch Holder
Many thanks to Humblej for posting this catalog and the info in it for pocket watch holders. I did know that they were not original Ford products, but I was wondering if they were popular accessories back in the day and if any readers have found them on surviving Model Ts. Also, are any of you using...

Dashboard Pocket Watch Holder
Hello Everyone. I found this pocket watch and holder on Facebook Marketplace last week. Do any of you know anything about it or similar items? Were they ever used on Model T Fords or were they specific to other cars? Thanks for any information that can be provided.

Many thanks for your answers. Too bad I wasted $30 on the latex paint. I should have known better . . .

Painting or Treating Body Wood
I read about various methods of treating bodywood in a forum discussion from 2017. More than one person suggested using a 50/50 mixture of enamel paint and turpentine to have what essentially is just a "stain coat" that will penetrate deep into the wood. However, when I tried this using acrylic late...

Need help identifying front fender
[image][/image][image][/image] Hello, I have a 1915 runabout that needs a right front (passenger side) fender. I have what I think is a correct left fender, with three rivets, a bill, and a flat top. A friend brought me the red fender, which also has three rivets, thinking that it was what I needed....

Re: accessory shocks
Thank you, Ed. I couldn't find any information about them anywhere (and I still can't). I'm grateful to at least now know who made them. Have you, or has anyone else reading this, had any experience with them or have any thoughts as to whether it is worth putting them on a car?
