A year or so ago I had the same question about oil and it was suggested to me to use Shell Rotella T4 15w40.
From someone that professionally builds T engines and a lot of them. I have ran this oil in my rebuilt engine from the start.
So far so good.

26 Coupe Windshield Corrosion
I am not sure if this can be fixed. The frame is pretty solid and the hinge is working good. The window slot is eaten out pretty bad all along the bottom and up the sides. I was thinking of trying to repair with fiberglass but have not tried anything yet. I am not a pro at doing bodywork but will tr...

Zenith S4BF Carburetor and Intake Manifold
Selling this carb and manifold. It came on the engine when I bought the 26 Coupe. I was recommended to get a rebuilt NH carb which I am in the process of doing. We did get the engine started with the Zenith but it would not stay running. That is all I know about it. If anyone is interested make me a...

Re: Air intake for Zenith S4BF Carburetor
Scott thanks for info. I am looking for the carb and an intake manifold. Have been in contact with
someone in Alabama and I think he can fix me up with an NH and the right manifold. I will let you know how it works out.
Again thank you, I appreciate your advice.

Air intake for Zenith S4BF Carburetor
The engine I have for my 26 Coupe came with the S4BF on it without a hot air intake. I am getting ready to try and start the engine and was wondering what I could do to put an intake on the carb. At this time I don't even know if the carb is any good. I have found some old brochures for the kit that...

Scott thanks for the kind words. I was surprised that the post would get such a reaction. I just want to get the car on the road and drive it. I can tell a fib or two about what parts are what and get away with it. Here is a photo of the horn that will not work. I found it searching for horn photos....

Re: Horn will not fit inside 1926 Coupe hood after installing a water pump
Prior to 26, all T horns mounted with a bracket to the left of the cylinder head, away from the water inlet. In 26, when the coil box was located in that space, the horn had to be relocated and a new bracket was made to locate the horn using the two bolts holding the water inlet to the left side of...

Horn will not fit inside 1926 Coupe hood after installing a water pump
Sprucing up an older engine and am putting a water pump on it. There are threaded holes to mount the horn bracket but when I mount the horn it is now not inside of the hood. Does anyone have any suggestions or photos of how they overcame this problem. I will probably figure something out but was cur...

I think we are going to try Scott's suggestion and put the shim in. Hopefully it is in stock. This engine might not be in the car very long once we get it on the road. Just want to drive it a bit and then swap it out. We acquired another block with a 1926 Ser. number and are going to rebuild it from...

A bit new to all this. Engine was vertical on the engine stand when I put a new magneto on. Put the transmission assy on to measure the gap. Too big, so I put shims under the Magneto and put the assy back on and checked the gap. All the gaps were anywhere from .035 to .042. A little wide but I figur...

Hey Mark, Just to be clear when you said No. 8 fully open and then said No. 6 Closed did you mean fully open on 6 or is it fully open or fully closed and that would apply to the valve you are adjusting.

Re: Setting Valve Clearance
Interesting stuff. Regarding Scott's question the crank is used and I was going to use .010 for clearance on both intake and exhaust.
I have read that exhaust clearance can be .012. As far as the rule of 9 that is completely new to me. Can you elaborate a bit on the
theory behind it?

intake manifold to replace the Zenith one.

Can anyone shed some light on whether to use the original one I have or switch over to a solid state one. Paint Color options for 1926 Coupe
Was wondering if anyone knows if Straw paint color was used for wire wheels on a 1926 Coupe.
If it was, would anyone knows what the color formula is to mix the paint. Also was the 26 body painted with
enamel or Acrylic Lacquer? Thanks.
