Not sure what it is called but I need the long metal pieces that the door latch fits into. Maybe door lock striker plate? Second picture is where on my car the piece is missing.
The first picture is what it looks like on Jim’s 26.
I need both sides.

Re: 26 coupe original sun visor question
Thanks Jerry, so the leatherette is placed around the frame and then tucked up inside and sewn. Then screwed into the wooden header. I guess some kind of glue or such is used to attach the side pieces to keep them from puckering after the metal pieces are installed. Thanks for the pictures. They rea...

What is the small hole in the visor side piece for? On any of the pictures that I have seen on the forum this hole is not present. It’s on both side pieces. Also does anyone have a photo of how the flat metal piece is placed on the cover and the tabs bent back over to hold the cover on. Not sure wha...

Ok, I think I understand what I’m seeing. As long as it will run with no problems with this cover all should be fine. Re: New Member Restoring a 26 Coupe
Yep, that sounds plausible for the cross member number.
I’m not sure whether they braced the door openings when they put the top on but I haven’t had a chance to hang the doors yet. I need to find some screws and such first.
I was able to work on the seat bottom wood today almost finished with that.

New Member Restoring a 26 Coupe
Greetings to all, I am trying to restore a 26 coupe that my father bought back in the early 70's. I was not here during the time he was doing the disassemble as I had just joined the service. To say the least it is an adventure trying to put all the pieces back together. He did quite a bit of work o...
