Re: Fuel shut off valve
Steve is correct..you lift the handle to turn. My valve at carb weeped..replaced with new one from Langs. Steve at Langs said they dry out and the fuel "cruds" them up over time. Said you can rebuild or get new one. Got new one and rebuilt old one...lapped the old valve..used EZTurn sealant on valve...

My 26 coupe has the clamps holding down the angled horizontal portion of the floor under pedals that rests on the side body gussetts. ..one on either side. Had to make my own since mine were missing.. used holes already on the gussett where original ones were. Simple project. There are none the the ...

Re: The Right Stuff
According to google..RF cures in 24 hrs in air and exposure to moisture. I know doesn't apply to the "wad" you used. If you are worried about leakage I think it's unfounded..you tightly put clamps on the tube and fitting. As suggested maybe JB Weld the ends..if you want tp replace it in 20 years dea...

Re: The Right Stuff
JB Weld would be a good permanent choice..use it to stop leaks all the time. But you've used the RS already..see how it holds up
...but you have another alternative to use. Either way with the clamps nice and tight you should be fine. Amazing what we do to keep peace! LOL

Very awkward..no room. I put a new shut off valve to the carb and used an open end wrench and had to attack it on an angle with the top of the wrench angled toward firewall. It's a slow process but worked for me.

I got one and it's really slick..no more struggles. I took a suggestion from fellow forum poster Royce and lined the inside of it with electrical tape so rim won't be marred up up. I put a little grease on rim to facilitate attaching it. Great idea!

I had a similar experience that baffled me. My starter button was getting hung up the the hole in the floorboard and not plunging down far enough to make contact. I had an extension on the button to elevate it above the floor..simple fix.
