WTB 1924 Windshield and top bows
I’m in upstate NY and looking for a windshield for a ‘24 Roadster (23-25 should fit); I have a ‘22 or so on it now that was on it when I purchased it in good condition as well as a ‘26-‘27 that is restorable (surface rust) if anyone is looking to trade (+ cash as appropriate). I’m also looking for t...

Re: Vehicle archeology
Upper protrudes more I’m somewhat certain. I did take a picture yesterday but too much backlighting.

Re: Vehicle archeology
I think I’ve read every “Snowmobile” type post here and on other sites. As someone who has a passion for old trucks and snow going tracked vehicles I found them intriguing before I purchased one… and since I acquired this one last fall I’ve been trying to learn all I can about them, as well as Model...

Re: Vehicle archeology
Thank you - I greatly appreciate the feedback from folks who have so much more knowledge and are revered in the community. I’m going to contact the few Snowmobile folks I know and confirm there wasn’t a reason a vertical windshield would have been used - if anyone happens to have a ‘24 Snowmobile an...

Re: Vehicle archeology
Steve (and everyone else) - thank you all for taking the time to respond:). I have read through the "Ford Bible" and am going back through the encyclopedia that was linked to - it is fun and educational to learn what was changed over the years. Sometimes it is easier if someone who "knows" and has i...

Re: Vehicle archeology
The verbal history indicates it was a Snowmobile purchased directly from Virgil White's Snowmobile operation in Ossippee; as such never had any running boards or front fenders and has some unique features (very narrow - center of tire to center of tire is 38"), Ruxtall rear end, and the rather obvio...

Re: Vehicle archeology
Thank you all for the responses! I'll get more images up this weekend when I'm back working on it. For the passenger side door (only door) interior or exterior? Here are some images I've already taken, but as they were not taken specifically for the purpose of dating the vehicle they are likely not ...

Vehicle archeology
As a newer T owner I'm having fun learning about the history of the vehicles, in part figure out what combination mine consists of. Lots of resources out there for "dating" the vehicle, including here, which I really appreciate. So far I've determined the following - I'm wondering if there are any o...

Re: Top bows...
Here are slightly better images (I think!). From what you all have shared I’m fairly certainly neither of these are correct tops for a ‘24 Roadster, and one of them may not even be to a Model T…. The fellow I purchased it from had about 30 pre-war cars at one point… I’m thinking perhaps these were j...

Top bows...
2 bow sets (for lack of a better term) came along with my '24 Roadster snowmobile - I'm not sure if either of them are "correct", but I would like to match the year as best I can and hope to order the fabric portion soon. I noticed once set has an extra bar. I"m not sure if the other is missing it, ...

Out and about.. finally!
Thank you to Frank, Ron, and the other helpful folks who replied to my earlier posts in assisting me in getting it somewhat sorted out - I'm still working through a few things (and likely always will be!), but it was nice to get out on the snow a bit today. I'd hoped for more snow to get the skis on...

Re: No buzz...
I'll likely order up a switch, but may also try sanding the entire plate down - my mind hadn't quite thought of that yet, but it makes a lot of sense!

Re: No buzz...
Thank you all for the thoughtful posts! Great community here. In no particular order: -The roller on the timer was nice and shiny, but I still cleaned it up a bit in case there was oxidation I couldn't see. -With key on, I checked power to the coil input - nothing. I"m assuming (always dangerous!) t...

Re: No buzz...
I did turn the key:)
I'll get to cleaning those external terminals... and keep my fingers crossed....
I'll try the bypass wire too... probably tomorrow morning at this point for domestic harmony!
Thank you!

I've used the great search feature and tried a few things but am hopeful someone might point me in the right order of what to do next... so my apologies now for asking what I know is a somewhat common question! I recently picked up a '24 Model T and have been going over it both to learn about it and...

Re: New here.. '24 TT parking brake question
A few more images - I'm inclined to believe it is a Roadster pickup with the Snowmobile conversion (which included the worm gear rear end) from what you all have said. It is 124" wheelbase at this point, but I suspect that was part of the conversion, especially as 100" ends up right where the spring...

Re: New here.. '24 TT parking brake question
Interesting! Id understood it was the correct strengthened, narrowed frame under the body for a TT, but I’m very much in the learning stages here!

New here.. '24 TT parking brake question
Greetings! I've been checking out Model T "Snowmobiles" for years and finally found one that followed me home this past weekend, a 1924 Model TT that has been in a collection for 25 years. An older restoration, but seems in good shape. I'm going through it now and learning the vehicle using the comm...
