Re: Smiling California Chapter and Marijuana
Many towns are embracing a mix of old and new vibes—there’s still plenty of charm with antique shops and classic Main Street drives, but now you’ll also find cannabis tours popping up alongside the wineries. For some, it’s a fun way to learn about the industry without the “hippie” feel of the past. ...

Re: 25 touring rear tack strip: straight or curved?
I’ve worked on a few interiors, and I’d say the tack strip should definitely have a slight curve. The back panel often isn’t perfectly flat, so a little curve will help it fit better and look more natural. It’ll also help the trim material sit nicely without any bulges.

Brass will definitely hold up better than cast iron. Just make sure the dimensions are spot on, and maybe add a lubrication groove to help it last longer.

I've had mixed experiences with Howells. They do have some unique T sheet metal parts, but their turnaround times can be a pain.

Re: We Are Moving to Petoskey, Michigan
For your move next week, I recommend checking out local moving companies that offer packing services and reliable transportation. It’s also helpful to read reviews and compare prices to find a company that fits your budget and needs. When moving to Michigan, consider the factors that can affect your...

Re: Fall tour to Washington Missouri
Washington, Missouri is a great spot, and the route with the photo ops in Augusta should make for some memorable stops. I recently stayed at this resort which was excellent for a relaxing getaway, and I can tell you that a scenic drive and a good meal can really make for a perfect day.

Re: Fan Belt and Oil questions
Yeah, definitely go with the modern flat belt for the fan, they're tough and reliable. And Rotella 15-40 should work just fine for the oil, it's pretty versatile stuff.

It's just so cool when a few tweaks really pay off, right? And those hi-flow needle and seats seem like they'll take things up another notch.

It's great to hear about your positive experience with Bill Squires Transportation! I had a similar situation six months ago when I bought a used Ford Mustang from Florida. I was looking for reliable car shipping companies and found A1 Auto Transport on https://www.a1autotransport.com/best-car-shipp...

So, I'm diving into making my 21" steel felloe wheels, and I've got these two beefy hydraulic presses that I'd rather use instead of crafting a Regon press. Anyone here tried the hydraulic press route? Couldn't find much info besides hub replacements or DIY spoke making. Got vendor-supplied spokes, ...

Had a similar issue with my '32 Chevy. Filing the teeth did the trick for me too, but I also had to mess with the spring tension. A stronger spring did the job and kept the window up without dropping.

Re: Chemistry of origin Ford black
Over time, the original gloss of the paint can fade due to exposure to the elements, dust, and dirt accumulation. Also, older paint formulas might not have been as glossy to begin with. Waxing can definitely help restore some shine, but it won't make it look brand new.

Re: Car quits after it gets hot - No fuel
In my experience with an older vehicle that would stall when it got hot, similar to your 1914 Model T, I found the root cause to be vapour lock – where the fuel evaporated in the lines from the heat before reaching the carburettor. To resolve this, I insulated the fuel lines more thoroughly and rero...

I've heard some folks use bronze bushings as a replacement for babbit bearings in starters. It's a durable option. As for restoration, you might want to check with local machine shops or auto repair shops.

I'm no expert, but from my experience, the flange near the front of a T cam is usually machined as part of the camshaft. I haven't heard of it being shrunk on separately.

It's great that Steve's spirits are high despite everything. Getting him those reading glasses was a thoughtful move. And it's cool that he's already planning projects like the auxiliary transmission for his roadster and Thanksgiving dinner.
