Two Radiator Questions

I have an old radiator and likely rust-choked engine that I want to flush. The helpful Australian Youtuber recommends 'Nulon R40', an alkaline solution. This doesn't seem to be available in Tidewater Virginia. What is the best widely-available product? Wait- wait- I have another question: I have sev...

WTB Rebuilt or Rebuildable Rear Axle 1919-1925

My 1920 has an earlier rear axle that has some problems. I'm looking for a correct post-1918 axle with the lower fill port. Would love to find one completely rebuilt, but will consider complete and rebuildable

WTB Solid Hyatt Bearings

I am in need of a pair of serviceable Hyatt rear axle bearings for my '24. I'm looking for them to measure .495 and above and be non-twisting, tight, and serviceable. Thank you!

Tolerable Tolerances

Deep into the rear axle now. Id like to ask for the acceptable range of tolerances as measured on a caliper guage for: 1) rear axle beyond the spindle; 2) axle sleeve; 3) the bearing itself. Thanks.

Refractory Brake Rod

I went to tighten my hand brake because it has too much play in it. I watched a video of a picturesque Australian performing this task. He took out the pin, loosened the round cyllinder-screwy thing, then adjusted the nut so he could rotate the yoke on the end. But my cylinder thing is both frozen i...

Re: Has anyone ever driven their T across the Mighty Mac?

Shoot, that bridge is a piece of cake! Y'all should have tried crossing the Huey P. Long Bridge in Jefferson Parish before they widened it. I was coming over it in Trixie some years ago when a police loudspeaker from a cruiser behind me requested me to pull over at the bottom of the bridge. The cops...

Under-the Hood Rain Deflector

Some years ago, all the guys in my Model T club were installing a tin plate with a crease in it that sat under the hood on the radiator rod, the purpose of which was to keep rain off the spark plug wells. I can't seem to find this fix on the internet- it really worked, and I'd like to install these ...

The Infamous Model T Horn Button

I have owned four Model T's, and the crappy horn buttons all inevitably stop making contact. Is there a standard fix for this perennial problem? A new and improved button? A time tested work around? Thanks!

Re: Transport from L.A. to Virginia

Thank you to everyone who replied. Oddly enough 'Montway' came through in the end, shipping an 87' high Model T truck from Los Angeles to Gloucester Virginia in five days for $2450. The drivers even cranked it for me while I worked the controls.

I am having difficulty securing transport for a 1924 Model T pickup from Los Angeles to Tidewater Virginia. I am looking for enclosed transport. This vehicle is 87" tall. Need a reliable, verified shipper. Thank you.
