Second that on the Scotch-Brite pads. Best thing for paint prep, especially with your irregular parts since the pads will conform to any shape. As Mark stated, the maroon VFN (about 300 grit) would probably be best with the harder epoxy appliance paint. If you weren't shooting epoxy, or other cataly...

Hoisted the body & dropped the frame today.
She's cleaning up very quickly with just a wire wheel.
10 minutes in on the front crossmember, nice clean unpitted metal.
Could a single D (vs DB) stamp suggest Dodge manufacture??

Hoisted Daisy's body off the frame. All body mounts are solid, and 5 of the six body/frame bolts were original size, but driver side rear had a slightly smaller diameter bolt. I am of Sami heritage (look it up, ya gotta learn something new everyday ya know, hence, the flag on the left). In our mythology Trolls kidnap & eat children. One possibility, rear end problems can 'transmit' the sound to the tranny. I've never personally seen one, so can't answer to specific examples/methods. More than likely I'd only be stating the obvious as to what you see or are thinking, but, such as it is, my thoughts: I don't know how the middle bracket of a car frame lines up with the cab, if at all. One thing about these cars, you ALWAYS have to be prepared with thoughts of contingency ever present. It's not an issue of IF, only when.
Even with my Model A, with much better braking than a T, I have endured more than one pucker moment.

Mixing different grades will raise (or lower) the octane rating depending on your reason/target. The end result will simply be the average of each octane level relative to the quantity of each mixed. Generically a 50/50 mix reg/prem will equal a mid-grade.
The question is, why go to the bother??

Definitely not for the factory closed cab, not sure about the factory C cab, not sure how tall the side/back panels are for the C. The closed cab are all narrow strips.. Might help to identify intended use.

They are cast shoes, with a riveted lining.

Re: Attachment to block to pull engine?
You can buy eyelets to screw into the spark plug hole and lift with a cherry picker (engine hoist), easily found to rent. Personally, I don't like putting that much stress on the head using just one eyelet especially with an off horizontal lift. Two is minimum in my book, but that's just me & my par...

Re: Roller bearing long term storage.
Mike, Well, I'll confirm your suspicions about white lithium. When I tore down my TT in the 80's I had to store machined parts until I had the money to restore. That was one of the recommendations then, greased up and wrapped in oil cloth. Only to discover later the onset of serious rust after only ...

Roller bearing long term storage.
So just picked up a set of used rollers Chaffin's was selling recently, got them all cleaned up nice & purty, question being, what is the preferred method for long term storage, especially given I'm in humid/coastal salt air.

Re: Vertical front axle 1909
The perches are in correct position per my eye. With the axle positioned vertically (and therefore the perch pins thru the axle being vertical), then the spring and wishbone mounts would be canted forward as is seen in the pic. With the spring & wishbone mounts horizontal, the perch axle pin and top...

Interesting combo of parts.
The engine is 26/27, but it is not a TT frame.
I don't recognize the cab, but neither is it a factory TT cab, probably a mash up of a much later body.

Well, it's not a TT frame, and interesting use of a mating plate to adapt a car torque tube, ya wonder what happened to the TT torque tube given it would have to use a TT drive shaft (shortened as well), not a car ds, to spline into the worm.

I just mic'd several of the old spool stud nuts at ID 8.5mm tightest to 8.85 worn..... WOOT!!! We have a go for launch!!

Any '17 and early style over axle wishbones in decent condition are near impossible to find. Any early/early short yoke versions are going the way of the DoDo bird. That one is a platinum find. The biggest problem of all is they are near impossible to ship, quotes being in the hundreds of $$$.
