Re: Need a replacement LED- help please
Take a look at https://www.ledlight.com/6-volt-negative-ground-automotive-led-lights.aspx. They have about everything you could possibly need and even a 3rd brake light in 6 volt. Their 1158 bulb part number 87934 may suit your purpose. I have some of their bulbs on my '25 coupe, but don't remember ...

I did my '25 coupe with help of a crane and several guys--needless to say the crane was overkill. It didn't hurt to have a friend who runs a steel fabrication business. I think that four guys plus yourself as a spotter would suffice.

There are lots of opinions on LED bulbs, many by people who haven't tried them. For headlights, I use #87455 purchased from LEDLight.com located in Arizona. Very low amperage draw. https://www.ledlight.com/6-volt-negativ ... spx?Page=4

Wasn't aware they are upside down, but they didn't come with a STOP logo so doesn't make much difference--they light just fine.

Re: 1926 Coupe - Rear Directional 6V
On my 1925 coupe, I used the Model A teacup style tail lights and fitted them with 6-volt LEDs (photo 2). For mounting the lights, I used the cast brackets for Model A Panel Deliveries, Pickups, and most AA Truck chassis (according to the Snyder's catalog). The bracket is Snyder's part A-13470, $18....

There are lots of internet photos of Model T accidents, and other than one hit by a train, I've yet to see one where the body separated from the frame. I'm think this is another internet myth.

Re: Bushing at End of the Steering Shaft
My experience was with a new bushing and new shaft (both purchased several years ago). The old bushing came out fairly easily and the new one went in just about as easy. It fit the shaft just fine--no reaming necessary.

Chris, Some one in the distant past upholstered your vehicle with the 1923-25 brown with green stripe fabric color and pattern. That was original in my 1925 coupe, but I did something similar--I upholstered using grey with a red stripe because that is what I liked. Seems like some supplier might be ...

Re: Inserting New Door Window Glass
I've decided that perhaps removing the door and placing it flat on a table would make the window and weather strip installation a bit easier. No need to hold the window up with tape, etc. Sorry, I haven't yet tried this method.

Bruce, what diameter and length hollow rivets did you use? I have the same task to do on my '25 coupe. Thanks,

Installed new band springs in the transmission of my '25 coupe with assistance from my son. Been putting this task off for about a year (yes, way too long). Now to start driving in earnest. And we avoided dropping ANYTHING into the black hole.

Re: How to Remove Top Wood from 1927 Coupe
Joe, thanks. My fasteners were useable so I didn't look too hard for new ones. My coupe is mostly finished and I wouldn't recommend the wood replacement as a fun task if not absolutely needed. Lots of fitting and fiddling! Unfortunately mine had been the recipient of water dripping on the front left...

Re: ‘25 Coupe Quarter Window Stuck….
Perhaps the spring-loaded arm (roller should be under the bottom window frame) which assists in raising the window has slipped to the outside of the window, thus jamming it. Another possibility is that the roller on the arm has broken or chipped, but that shouldn't stop the window from working, just...

Take a look at https://www.ledlight.com/6-volt-negative-ground-automotive-led-lights.aspx?Page=3. Specifically look at product numbers 87455 ($7.49) and 74475 ($17.47). Re: Sandblasting Equipment
Start with a good air compressor--the "oil less" type wears out too soon, makes a lot of noise, and doesn't put out enough air. I had a 5-HP Sears unit with 60 gallon tank which often wasn't good enough. Siphon blasters are sized from desktop to 2-man units with prices to match. Lots of sources from...

A fine tip white paint marker from the craft store works great for the letters. Since they are stamped into the metal, you don't even have to be an artist to do a great job.

I purchased catalog number 87455 from Ledlight.com in Arizona. Note that Ledlights.com is a different company. The 87455 seems to work well although my car is not on the road and I have the new coated reflectors from Snyder's. They have four pages of 6-volt bulbs. The 87455 item is at: https://www.l...
