Sediment Bowl Lead Gasket
Hello all,
The lead gasket of the sediment bowl is out of stock everywhere for some time now. Is there an alternative to it which I can use?
TIA

Re: Fuel Tank drain bushing
Thank you for all the replies!
The car is a 1925 model T truck and not a TT. It seems like the bushing is threaded and no hex shoulder. The gas tank is round and fits under the seat in the current cab. Here are the pictures...
As always, really appreciate all the help.

Fuel Tank drain bushing
Hello all, The carb restoration took me to pay attention to the gas tank and after cleaning and sealing it, I have found that the sediment bulb wont fit. The PO has installed a brass bushing in the outlet and had screwed in a brass elbow leading to a copper line to a flex hose to carb. There was no ...

Re: Kingston L4 Drain Valve
Thanks for the idea! What grit crocus cloth should be used?
It is the offset drain and it was leaking at the joint with the bowl and also was passing when fully closed. I tested it by pumping air in it using a vacuum pump in blow mode and dipping it in a bowl of water.... made some bubbly!

Re: Newbie here
Yes a full rewire is on the cards... Also might paint the head as repainting and finishing has to be done... I got the 1925 year from the PO and confirmed with your guidance and the database on fordmodelt.net. it was made April 24, 1925. Right now I want to start it and am still waiting for the carb...

Re: Newbie here
Wow! I love an active list!
I am not sure if it is a model T truck or a TT truck. I do have the engine serial number and will try to date it as soon as I am done typing this. Here are the pictures of the differential, truck bed and engine.
TIA!

Thanks for all the replies! Checking out the link and have already purchased the service manual. I am located near Los Angeles and online research tells me there is a chapter of MTFCA in Long Beach and Orange county. Both are a significant drive but i will check them out. I got the truck from an auc...

Hello List! I am new here and would like to introduce myself. I recently acquired my first model T (YAY!). It is a 1925 Model T truck with open cab (soft top). Although not a stranger to vintage cars, I am totally new to the Model T and wish to learn all about it. For starters, How do I identify the...
