WTB: "Shorty" Tool/Battery Box for Running Board Wanted
I have a '23 Runabout, see picture. I'm on the prowl for a Model T-appropriate tool box that's shorter than the one I have now, to gain more running board luggage space. The current one is 22" long, so anything shorter than that may be of interest. Tall or short, I'm flexible. Thank you.

Re: What have you done with your Model T in April
My '23 Runabout evidently craved fiber in his diet and tried to eat his timing gear. Replaced it with an aluminum one to discourage gnawing on himself. Overhauled coil box with plastic parts kit primarily to cure chronic ill-fitting coil box lid problem. It worked perfectly - hooray! Last picture ta...

Re: 1923 Car, Coil Box Rebuild
Actually, I thought about omitting it since it doesn't make getting the coils in and out any easier, and it seems to me like a properly fitting lid should eliminate any possibility of bulging. On the other hand, the coils shouldn't need to be swapped around much, if at all, and the phenolic parts sh...

Re: 1923 Car, Coil Box Rebuild
This the link to the YouTube Video that dinosBunny mentions below ... the first 27 minutes of the video talks about the evolution of the box so you can skip to minute 27 by dragging the red line -- I think you might have linked to the wrong video. I've seen this one, and it doesn't cover replacemen...

Re: Timing Cover Alignment Tool
Thanks Steve, anyone else? I ask because I just changed the timing gear on my '23 Runabout without the centering tool 'cuz I didn't have one. The car's mostly original, sporting a New Day timer. My buddy put his together without the tool a while back and his car runs great, is why I went ahead inste...

Re: Timing Cover Alignment Tool
How necessary are these tools? What happens if you replace a timing gear without one?

1923 Car, Coil Box Rebuild
1923 Runabout, pretty much all stock, have the kit for rebuilding the coil box with plastic parts replacing the wood, got new contacts, ceramics, etc., as well. I'm wanting to know if y'all can point me to any documents, videos, or other online content that might be helpful to the little project, th...
