Re: Voltage Regulator Building Progress Update

I think the PTFE is the key in this application... but there is an alternative that explicityly states "Approved/OK" for gasoline, which is a thread sealant made by rectorseal. Re: Ben's Model-T Pie Wagon [1911-1925]

It is a PTFE tape, which I did look up as being ok with petroleum products. However when comparing PTFE vs Teflon, they seem to be the same thing unless it is yellow. since the tank isn't installed, I will get that removed to be certain/safe and instead use a liquid petroleum tolerant paste. Thanks ...

The castle nut barely grabs it and doesn't spin (too tight of clearance around it to spin)

Should this bolt be longer and should there be a nut on it?

Re: Sediment bowl/bulb vs modern fuel filter

I do not disagree with you or Ron at all. I just learned to always include a broader audience from time to time. There are times when all you know is what is "right" because that is what you learned to be true (that isn't right or wrong) and then there are times when new things come up that you may ...

Sediment bowl/bulb vs modern fuel filter

I posted on this in my build thread, but wanted to do something seperate. I currently have nothing aside from a ball valve under my tank. I would like to put something to help filter impurities to the carb/engine. I do like the possibilty of putting a sediment bowl/bulb in place of the ball valve, t...

this was the setup used for our old restaurant... just a single delivery driver sat there.

We have a litter of kittens in the barn, this is the momma cat. she brought in a live mouse to train the kittens, which they are not really interested in right now.... Was able to catch a moment.

I believe its purpose was to offer a hot rodding experience from the massive 20 hp engine we have…. And now that I know it was on there. I can only imagine the thoughts my grandfather had using it.

I’d like to put one back on it, but this one seems destined for the wall decor

true, I've sat on a few tufted couches and they were rather firm.
I might be able to do a mashup of adjustable backs with a softer leather tufted bottom.

so far this thread has given me several good ideas, just gotta figure out how to form them into reality

Installing a fuel filter is the worst thing on your to-do list. Don't do it. It will give you more grief than it's worth.
