Re: What have you done to/with your Model T in December?
I’ve installed a new reproduction crank handle to replace my old one that had fallen apart. The engine wasn’t running well so I cleaned and lubricated the timer, I inspected the spark plugs then determined one of the coils was malfunctioning. I traded it out and now the car is running fine again. I ...

Re: Just an Old Car Painting
Here’s a piece of functional art that I bought at Rich’s auction. I think he had the top up most of the time. I leave it down most of the time because it won’t fit through my garage door with the top up. I think it looks better down anyway. For those who don’t know, almost every part of the body was...

Re: Just an Old Car Painting
I bid on a number of his panting's at the auction. I really wanted only 1 but sent a lot of bids up to those watching to see who was bidding and what they were bidding for(a trick I learned from my father that over the years made an incredible amount of money at Government surplus auctions. The onl...

Re: Rear brake shoes
Since posting this I have learned that the brake shoe is one piece, not two line modern drum brakes. Therefore my problem is that the brake shoe is broken because when I took the wheel off I noted that there were two separate pieces.

Rear brake shoes
I discovered that the left rear brake on my car does not contact the drum. I adjusted the rod as far as I could to no avail. I took the wheel off to inspect the brake shoes. I couldn’t see anything wrong but I don’t know what I should expect. The shoes have no lining which I believe is normal. Does ...

This is an old thread but I wanted to leave a comment. Rich Eagle who posted earlier in the thread was a friend of mine and passed away in 2024 and I now own the ‘09 touring. Regardless of how much of the car is original and how many different cars the parts came from I wouldn’t be happier if it wa...
