What bolts or screws are used to attach the blade style tail lamp bracket to the body on a 1911 touring? Thanks, Art

Identify carbide generator

My 1911 project came with this carbide generator. It has no manufacturer marks and has a mount with about 6 1/2 inch spacing. My running boards have holes punched at 4 1/2 inch spacing. What generator do I have and what do I need? Thanks, Art

Re: 1913-14 Gaslight hose

I did get the 1/4 ID X 3/8 OD with the 1/16 wall from McMaster-Carr and it seems like the 1/16 wall is too thin. I would think the 1/4 X 1/2 with the 1X8 wall would be better. What do you guys think? Art

Re: White Tire Availability

My white Universals that are just over a year old, never been outside for longer than a couple of hours and never been on the road, are turning brown. I used new tubes and flaps, and my T sits in an air conditioned and heated garage. I tried to clean them up yesterday to no avail. Art

The off white is $2.88/ft. The red is $2.80/ft. The red shown is shown for color, it’s a different size that I’m using for something else.
Dropacent, Is the off white the biege color in the catalog? And is the size 1/4 ID, 3/8 OD? Thanks, Art

1911 REAR BOW RISER BOARD

I am ready to install the top on my 1911 Touring. The suppliers are out of the wedge shaped rear bow riser board, the one that gives the top the correct shape at the rear of the rear bow. Can someone give me the shape and measurements for that board? Thank you, Art

Re: So why so little interest?

Kim, I bought my 11 from him and had to force myself not to call about this 14. I thought the price was a little high, not enough to stop it from selling, but I had to factor in 2400.00 in shipping. To me it is all about the times we are in, they seem very uncertain so I held back even though I knew...

Mike and Classtique

I called Mike at Classtique Upholstery and asked if he would make some original style top bow webbing for my 1911 Touring. He knew exactly what I wanted and asked for the top bow measurements. I told him I was in no hurry thinking if it took a month or so I might be ready for it by then. Today, just...

1911 TOP

My 1911 Touring came with a new JV Auto Interiors top kit. The kit has enough webbing to have two pieces from the front bow to the rear bow. I have seen pictures of 1911's with the webbing in an X pattern between each bow with one piece of webbing going straight thru the X in the center. Which is co...

The bent wood bows need shaped to fit inside the metal bows and be cut to the length needed for the correct overall shape. Here is a picture of the bows wired together at the correct ...

Re: Fordfarm.net is back up

This is great news! Phil had a lot of pictures and information about his original 1911 Touring that had a serial number within a couple hundred of mine. I had saved some pictures but not all and had thought that great reference had been lost. I hope that information will be available again. Thanks, ...

I just recently got my 11 started and and running great but on two starts I have heard a random rattle in the front of the hogshead. It went away after a few seconds and did not occur again. I wanted to tell myself it was nothing but knew better, Today I removed the hogshead and found a coiled up pi...
