Passing the hat...

Did you ever wonder what some money would do to help a situation? I don't have GPS,just maps so periodically I think about passing the hat or maybe a 5-gallon bucket here and sending it back to some road and bridge dept to buy some signs to post around and let people know where they are and how to g...

FS Old drill bit display, great for sparkplugs, etc

This would have been in an old hardware store or mercantile. Those in need of a bit could pick out the ones they wanted very easily. But in this hobby, great to display sparkplugs. It needs some cleaning up and has a crack in the lower left corner. No bad rust issues. It's 15 1/2" wide,25 1/2" tall,f...

I know TT's are brass but it's been a while since I've seen one. This one appears to be New Old Stock. Any help appreciated.

FS Old wood truckbed pin pockets and hardware

These all came from the same place at the same time,if they were used together I presume the tall braces were on non-removable front panels. The pockets take stakes about 1 1/8 x 2 3/8" at the bottom, probably steel but may have also been wood. Some have a carriage bolt through them to keep the stake...

FS 1915-16 windshield assembly,some pitting

The frames appear straight as a string,a bit rusty but no visable rustout. Both hinges stuck, right one fairly pitted, must have stood on that end. Brackets look good,no bends, cracks,or tore out holes. Some of the brass glass lining material may be usable but probably should be replaced with rubber. $...

Part of the acetylene producing process inside the tank uses acetone. Like Rich says, you want that valve up as far as possible to let the gas out but keep the acetone from running into the hose.
