Re: Ritchie Brother's Auction Sept 27

I did a quick search on line about titles for antique auto in Tn and does not look like they require one. Only bill of sale. So that may all you can get. Does not bother me cause my state doesn’t require one either. As far as running I think these cars have be sitting around 10 years since Don passe...

Re: Blockley tire update

If you go to the website and put what you want in you cart, you can get a quote for shipped to your door. Will NOT include the tariff. You get that after the shipment gets to US. That I can’t say what is. Mine was 120 for two tires. Yesterday the price on website was 135 lb per tire. Down from 149. ...

Most have not been run in years. I think everyone of the lots say bill of sale only, no title and have not run.

Re: Blockley tire update

They are at the “gov wharehouse”. You will get an email from UPS telling you how much they charge you. Can pay driver or by PayPal. They kept mine about a week and half. Strange that I got one right away, but they held the other one hostage. I guess one escaped is became an undocumented immigrant or...

Anything is better than what I have now on my Roadster pickup.

FYI there is a tariff with Blockley tires.
They don’t charge you, you get a bill from shipper.
Still competitive with the other tire companies. Dan

Re: Car won’t start with starter

Having remanufactured many starters, I can count on one hand the ones where the terminal stud was not loose to the buss bar. That is a sore point on the T starter. Check in close. The new field coils look like a good solution to this issue. I would check there and be sure the right size cables are u...

Re: Storm Vulcan main bearing tools

Some of us with a KRW combo machine have under size reamers.
I have .010, .020 and .030. Cost a bunch to get them done . The feed on a combo is not fine enough for a good finish. It is made for only a rough cut.
Tobin arp gives a very good finish. Dan

Yes you all should learn what I did a bout those oil site glasses.
Take them off, tape a quarter to it and throw it as hard as you can.
That way when someone finds it they will have a quarter.

Georgia motor vehicle tag

Found a couple of these dated 1925 and 1926. Took them out of a T from Ga years ago that I parted out.
Anyone know the history of them? Found some on eBay but have not found the story. I know Ga had regular license plates, but why these? Thanks Dan

Early Blocks FS. Hershey?

I have been looking through my blocks and some early ones. 1. Casting date 12/5/12 think number is 202+++. Screw in core plugs, looks like some older crack repair . I will pressure test it and see. 2. 11/??/16 looks ok, don’t see anything wrong, will pressure test. Any interest. Can bring to Hershey...

Allen I am of the same opinion. I always heard that 26/27 were different. But how can that be when the number is same. I brought it up again because I am getting questions about the shells I got listed.
I hope this urban legend can be put to rest. Dan

It is a shame that the KR Wilson web site is gone. That had a lot of good information on it. Oh well, time marches on.
