Most epoxy paints are not UV friendly. That means they will chalk after exposure to sun light.

Larry: a new insulation Ring can be made from an old fiber timing gear. This is if the new style timer guts won’t work.

I am not wanting these for using with Rocky Mt brakes. I am rebuilding Hogs heads and finding brake pedals with good cams are getting hard to do. The new Rocky pedals have new cams on them. I need about 6 or 7 for this batch. I have found the source. Dan

Does anyone know who makes the brake pedals for the Rocky Mountain brake pedals? I need a bunch of them and I thought if could go directly to the source.

Is the spring a high arc spring? Or is it the 26/27 low arch spring?
What was on it before?

Is your front axle a “correct” 26/27 axle? In other words is it a bowed axle or is it a pre 25 straight axle? Dan

The unloaders are controlled by a valve on the tank.
Common called an unloader valve. It send air to the unloaders on compressor to unload them at a set pressure and to load up at a lower pressure. The unloaders valve can be anybody’s make.

I got one too. They pump a bunch of air. I would send pictures of mine since it is complete, but cant get to it right now.
I also got one made out of a jeep engine. It wouldn’t blow you hat off your head.

Finding a good axle now (100 years after manufacturing) is all but impossible. I have not seen a good axle at a swap meet in many years.
Stevens tool makes the axle better than Henry made them.?

What did the kingpin holes in axle look like?
Was top one tight? No play?
Did bottom one have good threads in it?
If not sounds like a job for “Stevens Front Axle Tool”.

At the Meadows auction many cars were sold to overseas bidders.

T did not use ahooga horn. T horn sounds more like a goose.26/27 has special brackets.

What year horn?

The last 2 cars I sold I had to part out. Zero interest. They were 13 Touring cars too. Now granted they would be project cars, but they were good 13 Touring cars. I have a friend that listed a great restored 27 Tudor with Ruckstell, no offers.

TT had a larger front tire size that was either aftermarket or an option. If I remember correctly it was the size listed in the ad.
Was not a clincher. Just regular tire. The rim fit a standard 30x3.5 wheel. Only have seen one set. Sold the rims to someone in Luray Va many moons ago.

My guy has a tank that takes off everything! Don’t have to worry about pre cleaning. Corse his old school, grandfather in cause he has been there forever.
You can not get a permit now for vat tank like his. That is why you should find an old school shop.

Yes you must remove the Babbitt. But are you going to use 100 year bearings in an engine rebuild? Oh, I forgot. We are talking to ModelT people about spending money.

Around here environmental issues with disposal of anything like parts washer stuff is outrageous.

Find a machine shop that has a hot lye tank. Let them vat your parts. Lots cheaper than dealing with the cost of maintenance on your own tank.

Here is a set of 8 aftermarket valve spring retainers I removed from an engine. They appear to be bronze. I either rebuilt or parted out the engine. These were not removed cause of a problem with them. I saved them cause they were different, only ones I have seen. $50 + shipping for the set. See pic...

Does this take the straight pipe with no flange? If so I may know where one is. Dan

There was a good swap meet there, but like many other things change. Most late model and rods.

My understanding is the 21” rims are split rims. I will look at the paper work I got. Dan

A few years back someone was reproducing those. They use a drive shaft tube, spare tire mount off a coupe and I think a top mount end. They looked good. Have seen one in years.

You missed the point. They NEVER made a retainer with a slot. The pin wears a slot in the retainer cause the reproduction retainer aren’t worth a s!!!. Pin is harder than the retainer.
Go to a modern valve from a 390. That is all I install in customer engines.

Lock n Stitch made kits to repair Cummings exhaust seats. Can’t get much hotter than that in an engine.

Think how many brass Ts went to the Great War.
