Sounds like the cutout has gone South and you may have let the factory smoke out of generator. If you haven’t let out it will soon get out on its own.
Better fix it before it gets out. Dan

Re: High volume outside oil line
This is a 3/8” line version. Engine was supposed rebuilt all way through before it was sold.
But it is a two holer engine. Maybe the guides are leaking too much.

Re: High volume outside oil line
Engine was rebuilt before I got the car. Maybe 5000 miles on it now. I don’t know who did the engine. But everything looked good when it was open for transmission repair. Cracked drum. I have a needle valve to reduce flow.
Also thinking about 20w50 oil might help.

High volume outside oil line
I installed an outside HV oil line on my 16 when I had to replace a cracked drum. Fast forward cranked it up and I got smoking engine. Was not before. Anyone one seen this? I removed the line and plugged the fittings, smoke gone. I plan to install a needle valve to reduce flow. Any input? Dan

The reason for my question is it is getting harder to find carriers with out the usual wear groove. I have looked an about a dozen, all with different degrees of wear. Some are junk but others? As long as the wear is stopped from getting worse, you should be able to use the carrier. On the other sid...

John: As far as removing the bushing, I don’t think the finish on the bore for the bushing would work as is.
By the time you clean up the bore, it may be too big.
Only way to tell is do it, but I have too many new ones to do that.
Anyone know when they changed the carrier, removed the bushing? Dan

Looking at carriers I have. Most have grooves where the thrust plates have dropped down and worn a place. What does that hurt in the long run? I know why it happened, only one pin holding the plate. Found a rear end carrier with bronze bushings where the axle gears ride. Other than being able to replace these bushings when they wear out. What other advantages are there to the early ones. I know Ford probably stopped using them for cost.

Remove the rivets holding the fellows. Then press out the fello and spokes from rim.
If you try removing one spoke you may break the end of spokes and or the fello.
Watch the Ford film showing them making wheels .

Have seen that a lot on tubes in past. Think there was a batch of bad ones.
To get by you can put a small hose clamp on the stem just below the metal. Sometimes that will work as a temporary fix.

Yes I was shouting. That is where I messed up. Once you submit the forms to UPS you can not change or add anyth...

Mark that transfer is for permanent transfer. Not just one time.
I got an email from AACA that spaces are available Monday morning of Hershey. If someone wants they could call Hershey and ask.

Re: Spencer fat man wheel ?
Be careful with those “Locking Wheels “. Cause most don’t lock they unlock. They make the steering wheel free wheel. As no control. Some can unlock at highway speed. Happened to someone in our club many years ago. He ended inside down in a ditch. Dan

Once apon a time in a town far for some but not to others. There was a man named Don Meadows that liked concrete and old cars. Specially Model T and A Fords. He had a vision. That is the story. Re: New Old Stock Radiator
Even if it is nos it is still close to 100 years old. Use will hurt a radiator, but age is the real killer of a radiator.
I never buy old radiators unless they are cheap.
Best thing to buy for a T is new radiator.

This is plans for a Ford dealership which looks like contracted by Firestone.
Question is did Henry have a deal with Harvey to build his dealerships. Was this another requirement for dealers?
