Re: New member, can you identify this Hack?

Roger Berchtold long time member passes. Funeral today
Roger never had a Model T but he did restore a beautiful 1917 Dodge Touring Car with "all-weather" side curtains for inclement weather and a prize winning 1931 Model A Ford Deluxe Coupe. He joined the Long Beach, CA Model T club because of our interesting tours and comradery. He liked to claim that ...

Re: correct angle or measurement for front axle caster
Thank you Jim and I understand that the faster you go the more caster you need. So I will set up originally at 1/4" remembering that there is about an inch and a half of threads and that I have the jam nut set at half way. I think I will screw it in a little more because the thread count is so close...

correct angle or measurement for front axle caster
Toady with the top up.jpg We are replacing the wishbone with a set of front radius rods with Laurel lowering blocks with the spring mounting system. The front axle is perfectly aligned with the front of the frame and now we need to know the correct angle or measurement so can move the axle forward ...

Re: Pedal Shaft Sealing
I use a 45 degree chamfering or beveling reamer in a 1/2" variable speed drill on the inside of each mating surfaces of the hogs head and the cam block and simply jam the O-ring in the space because the shafts do not make full revolutions but simply move back and forth in an arc. Haven't had to repl...
