Re: What Has Your Chapter Done in 2025?

In addition to the aforementioned awards banquet, the MTFCI Midwest chapter also had a Model T bingo day (bingo squares are Model T part names, not numbers), and next month is a coil tech seminar. "Monthly" driving tours traditionally start in April and go through October.

1924 Roadster. In overall good shape, with some paint missing from rear corner of the turtledeck. Runs well. Good touring car. Rear end has been rebuilt. Has a high compression Z-head. Electric start. Demountable rims. Top is in good shape Trying to thin the herd down a little. Asking $9,000 I'm pos...

I like your guess on the words.

Looking at the "Chassis Assembly" writing a bit closer I think I'm seeing "1912 Front end......". What might that last word be?

Re: Interpreting a 1911 Build Record

More 1911 build sheet mystery. This is a different vehicle. There are three issues here. First, the vertical writing in the "Chassis Assembling" section. The first line appears to read "1910 side oil lamp brackets". But what is the next line? The Benson read the beginning as "1912" and I lean that w...

Re: Interpreting a 1911 Build Record

Thanks for the K.H., Dan. I agree about the word "Dixon". I was wondering if the "ship to" state could be "Ind". The "I" doesn't look like a typical cursive "I". But that might allow the city to be Earl Park, Indiana. A small town. However, the word "Park" is written across the top of build sheet ne...

Interpreting a 1911 Build Record

I just got a build record for a 1911. The Benson center provides their interpretations of the build record and then they give a scan of the build record itself. They also provided a "key" that explains some of the notations used on the build sheet. The key also identifies the various suppliers of la...

We use three different trailers. Two enclosed and one open. The open is a tiltable, double-axle with brakes. And is older than me! I haven't done a lot of headlights, but here was my very simple method. Remove the headlights from the car. Re: Old 16mm Movies of MTFCI Events

Median household income in 1971: $7,626 in 2017: $60,145 So if you said a non-brass T was $2,000 in 1971, it represented 26% of the median household income for one year. That would equate to a cost of $15,773, today. A non-brass runner could be had for much less than that today. If you use a brass T...
