Re: Universal T-Driver | 30x3.5
Thanks Steve, I checked out the site. I really like the tread design. I asked for a quote for 1 tire and see how it goes. If need be like you said, I can just order one at a time. I'm going to need some new tube also as yesterday I ruined two trying to install into my old tires. Put in one of the ol...

Universal T-Driver | 30x3.5
I was told by Coker that the Universal T-Driver | 30x3.5 wont be in until late May, It seems that about the same story for the rest of the 30-3-1/2 T tires.

Re: Demounting a tire
Rich, I agree with you. I think I'm going to start saving for a new set. Might take a while as I noticed that even a cheap tire from Coker is around $189.00 each and of course they are on back order.!!! These were Firestones and I think at the time I paid around $150.00 each for them. But that said ...

balancing beads
Has anyone found any difference in the balancing beads sold by Dyna balance (the company that originated the product) or the ones that are being sold by the competitors. There's a marked difference in price between the two and I was wondering if the extra money would be worth going with the Dyna bea...

Re: Demounting a tire
I looked up when I bought those tires. Turns out they are 21 years old. The tires are just starting to weather a little not past to the point where they are deemed unsable. The main problem was not so much with tires but more with the person. 21 years ago my hands were not full of arthritis and they...

Demounting a tire
It took me over an hour and a half to demount one freaking tire today. Its been on the car for close to 15 years and to make matters worse back when I put that tire and tube together back 15 years ago I used a flap. What PI freaking TA. Me and flaps are officially done, Never ever again. I had to ru...

New demountable clincher rims
In an attempt to fix my out of tire balance problem I'm going to over correct. My tires and tubes are well over 20 years old. They are just starting to show weather checking along the rim. I'm going to put on new tires and tubes. At the same time I'd like to replace my demountable rims with new also...

Balance
Is there a way to balance the tires on my touring car? I get much past 35 mph she starts shaking. I put the left rear up and ran it and before half throttle you can see the tire start to shake.

My car was the oldest and the oldest that was driven to the show there was a 1927 T but it was a trailer queen. Steve, I drilled and tapped the gooseneck for the temperature probe.

Nice drive
Last Saturday My wife and I went to a show 59 miles away. I cruised around 35mph most of the trip, once in a while she would creep up to 4omph but for the most part it was 35mph.. It took an hour and 40 minuets one way. Of course Saturday would be a record heat day so the trip home at 89 degrees was...

Fuel shut off valve
What is everyone using for a fuel shut off valve on the carburetor. I've been using the brass one that goes into the fuel inlet of the carburetor that Lang's sells for years. It has served me well but every one I get after a few months it becomes very hard to turn. Now after a couple years of use it...

John, Any other day I would be in 100% agreement with you. Giving the Model T engine is a non pressurized system I think it should work out. I think I got it fixed. I used the vacuum idea that John mentioned and it seems to be working just fine. Thank you john for the idea. Found it. It’s the pan gasket right next to the starter. Dripping like crazy. I guess this summer I’m going to be pulling the engine and replacing the pan gasket. I tried to add a video but it’s doesn’t seem to want to load up.

First a little back info, 2022 I had hernia surgery and then in 2023 I had shoulder surgery so my 1919 Touring car has not seen a lot of use. The engine had a complete rebuild from Gorge King around 15 years ago and has 0 issues until just lately. Maybe 500 miles sense the build. I'm running straigh...

Loose threads
Has anyone ever used aluminum foil around the sparkplug to tighten loose threads in an aluminum head. I think one of the plug hole threads in my aluminum high comp head are getting worn. I don't like the way it feels when I tighten the plug.
