Machine the bottom of the shaft as others have stated...., done bunches over the years. Anything else is asking for a dangerous situation in the hands of those with limited skills. The shaft/flange attachment is where all the torque is located.

Exhaust pipes etc do not run hot on low grade fuel, up the octane, compression ratio, overhead valve....., you are creating heat or power (typical KW conversion). The coolant temp does not raise. Look how your modern car creates power.

Well both frames are in shape today. Did some shopping for peep mirror mounts and they all look like flimsy crap...., Soooo I started making dagger style.

US Boiler Works made a lot of odd stuff here and there to back fill as required. Definitely looks like their logo.

I have been using the same files for over 12 years. After 2 cups of coffee this morning.., one is in the rough.

The key in a good job is quality material, T6061 billet, good files and rasp. When ever you are working any soft material use canners wax by means of rubbing your file. They never plug and clean up easy. Watch your pressure when cutting on the strokes. I use lay out dye for a good contrast. IMG_5749...

Drill a hole 180 degrees out from machine screw 3/16", when finished fill with JB Weld!
