Re: Early TT

As a teenager , we had an old Oliver 70 tricycle. The rear wheels were about five foot high.
My brother and I used to hand crank that monster. Good thing it never kicked back. I'm
sure it would have done some real damage.

Re: Can we stop? I’m thirsty.

Ahhh memories ! Grand Pop started a store in 02. He had the building moved via horse and wagon a mile or two away. He sold groceries, kerosene and feed. Later there was a post office inside too. When cars started to become numerous along the road, gas pumps were added. Soda was in an ice cooled, but...

Re: A word to the wise salesman

Right !!! Years ago my Father and Grandfather had a Chrysler/Plymouth Dealership. There was a yearly car show in Phily that they would attend. They watched an elderly couple.dressed sort of shabbily. My father said the man even had holes in his sweater. The pair stopped at the Chrysler display. The ...

Hello Bob,

Can use the rim jacks but bad time of year for me. Would go for $50 ?
Will understand if you don't want to. Wish I had kept the one I had

Re: thinking of name change

I'm a youngster and didn't come along until 1941, but great to hear your ramblings there in Vermont. We visited your fine state a number of times back when even looked at a place to buy in a small town whose name I have long forgotten. Here in S/W Missouri it has been wet too with a great deal of fl...

Re: Old photo - along the road, idyllic farm scene

Is that a wooden front axle on the car ? May be a Brush. My father ,born 1905, told me when he
was a kid of 6 or so he often used to wait by the dirt trace next to his father's store to get a ride in
a neighbor's Brush when he returned home from work.

I used to love there snow when i was a kid but now not so much. We hit low 60's yesterday here in S/W Missouri !!!!!! Years ago I had a 28 Essex coupe that I couldn't find tires for 4.50-5.50 x 20. I got 6.00 x 20 truck tires from my father's oil truck and they fit on the split rims. No getting stuc...
