Using KR Wilson pouring bar. The areas where the Babbitt is poured has been turned down about .030. Shims added under the spacer block that fits on top.

Here are some items I found in a box of the Model T Haven auction stuff.
1. The first item is some kind of accessory mount for ???? It swivels at two points and is a tight swivel that is meant to stay where you set it at. Im pretty sure this is part of a model T accessory.

On a car, 4 rivets = 1924 & earlier; 2 rivets = 25-27. Does this apply to trucks also?

I am assembling my gearbox after having replaced a couple of wheels which loose a tooth and made my roadster pick-up to a high gear only car.
Now when I managed to catch the 3 pins in the flywheel the transmission is somewhat tight. I can move the drums by hand but not freely.

I repositioned the brake fluid reservoir to a position that is below the brake mechanism.

Does it matter that it is below the mechanism? Must it be higher for gravity feed or is there a negative pressure (positive pressure?) that sucks the fluid into the brake lines.......

Just curious where folks locate their battery cuttoff. Was hoping to see some ideas to avoid crawling under the car to switch the battery feed off. Right now I have mine in the back corner of my turtle box, but I'm going to put on a wood truck bed. Thanks.

Hi All,
While slowly hand cranking the engine for the first time since I got it, only coils 1 and 4 are buzzing. Does anybody have any ideas? Roller timer is used and possibly original. I don't know what to look for. Coils are from Ron and they're great and well adjusted.
Could I need a new timer? Thanks in advance.

I have an article about my hometown of Alexandria, Louisiana, and it discusses a gentleman who owned a 1909 Ford Model T back in the 1950s.

The article states it's serial number 3086.

While trying to start my 23-26 frankenT, the wire on the cutout started to smoke. The tab for the generator wire was touching the generator since the tab has been bent down. The tab is now loose. Has anyone taken the cutout apart, and can it be repaired? I'm trying to keep it all original and was wondering if I can take the whole thing...

The choke wire sold by the vendors is brittle and if you have to “un-bend” the end on the carburetor the wire breaks easily. Am I installing wrong or is there a solution?

Pictured is a fork mounted electric headlight. (I've been unable to upload a picture)

There are no hinges for the ring that holds the glass lens in place.

Can anyone tell me how to get the ring off? I'm guessing that it may twist, but despite tryiing, it won't budge.

Any help is appreciated.

Are they able to be disassembled? I have a set on the back of my car currently and would like to know if the spring cover/cylinder can be removed. I thought maybe it was screwed on but I don’t want to destroy them. I’d rather remove them and put them on the shelf then destroy them.

What was the earliest date orders were being taken by Ford for the 1925 Pickup and when did production begin?

I was adjusting a generator yesterday and was puzzled to find I couldn't bring the charge rate below 8 amp.

This is with a replacement armature in a functional generator.

Segments are polished and vee-d and the armature was successfully growled a few years ago.

Posting this for FYI. T body is 7/16 . Y block is 1/2 with a divot in the top for push rod. Foot is the same size. I understand why this conversion is convenient for OHV.

The buyer of my Roadster Pickup has asked me a very interesting question. We will be taking it back home on an open trailer. We will secure the convertible roof but he is worried about the windshield on highway speed. I have never transported my T’s in the open. What should I do to protect the windshield?

Last week I found out why my front door randomly opens during driving my Lizzy, so this is another work over winter.

Snyder's and Lang's catalogs have a ten piece set of door bumpers (A -702610 -NS). Where do these go? My 1927 coupe has one bumper on the top of each of the doors. I don't see any other.

Consulted the service bulletins last night. I found 2 different published float setting dimensions.
The typical view with a dimension of 15/64 (<1/4 ) Top of float to machined bowl surface.
The second dimension comes in a mention of the vaporizer float. It is stated as 1/4 , exactly the same as the previous carburetor.

Working away on the ignition switch wiring but have derailed myself.

I removed all the wiring screws but putting them back in the correct places is a problem.

I didn't realize that they are two different lengths so now don't know which what goes where.

Any hints on where longs and shorts go?

The current gas tank in my 25 Coupe does not have the small banana shaped bracket seen at the bottom of this picture. Is it supposed to sit in the bracket with two legs or one leg or is there supposed to be one of these brackets on both sides. Thank you.
