I have a brass horn that sounds good when a modest flow of air is blown though the tube, but doesn't work when I fit the bulb to it. Gently squeezing the bulb allows it to work somewhat, but with a rapid squeeze, the reed acts like a check valve rather than vibrating. Does anyone have any advice on how this can be fixed?

Looking for advice on the preffered method of removing the inner race from the spindle on an early car with roller bearings. I was able to get one side off with some gentle heat and persuasion but not so lucky on the other side. Not looking to destroy the race (or spindle) if I can help it. Haven't seen any info on this in the search...

Just hooked up my speedometer making sure the cable ends are properly engaged. The cable is wire, encased in a slippery plastic sheath, which is then inserted into the brass cable housing (spiral wound tube). The wire cable turns freely in the sheath, the speedometer turns freely and registers speed, and the drive is lined up and operates freely....

Looking to ID these speedometer drive parts but first a little background. These were attached to a very original wheel and spindle found by my father at the town dump in the 60's. The wood felloe wheel is in great condition complete with the metal stem and dust cover. The 30x3 tire however is hard as a rock!

I am installing Rocky Mountain brakes on my car. I am planning to paint them black before installation and I was wondering how hot the brakes may get during normal use? I have read that most brakes don't get above 400 degrees. If I use some Rustolium paint that can handle 350-400 degrees, will the paint hold up during normal use?

Well it always seem like when I tighten a castle nut the hole in the bolt never lines up so I have to back the nut off a bit to get the cotter-pin in. Now I know that the pin would have to fall out for the nut to come loose but I still feel like it's not tight enough. Am I being over cautious?
