I am refurbishing a 21” split rim for my 27 Tudor.

I have the rim sandblasted and will prime and paint it tomorrow.

Planning to buy tire, tube and flap from Lang’s.

Any advice on metal stem vs rubber (I have wood wheels)?

I’ve also got a rim lock plate and lock screw.

Is there anything else I’m missing or overlooking?

Checking out another T and spotted a few things amuck. The timer lever was catching, and had a lot of play......seems the easy way was just to fit the rod in, no cotter :(

What gauge or type of wire on the HCCT is used on the high voltage side from the coil to the spark ring?
If you use a brake drum for a coil ring is a small or large drum best and do you put the 16 lines in it to make counting sparks easier ?

After buying my 26 t I started to demount the tires for replacement. It appears the one shown in the photo is a split rim. My question is, is this a split rim and if so can I mount my new tire as is?If it is a split rim it is rusted together I couldn’t,t split. It anyway.

Ok ,so I got my differential haves put together with 3 bolt . I can turn the axles free spin with no end play. I can turn my ring gear without any binding. But how free should it spin? I have not put any grease on the inner bearing yet because as I said it is a fit test.

Is it possible that during the change over to the improved 1926 T that any of the late 1925 Cars could have been built with the new 1926 Engine? I know most of the parts are very different from the frame up but is it possible that the new block was being produced before the end of the 1925 model year ?

I can't find my copy of the Carburetor book, so I need somebody to confirm whether I remember correctly. The puddle should be just high enough for the little tube to stick into it. Is that right? How high is too high?

The hubcaps on my wire wheels are somewhat loose.

I see this with a lot of older cars--people put different wheels on them sometimes when they need to work on the car. I've seen them with trailer wheels, old donut spares, etc., stuck on there to help move the car around a little bit.

If someone had an old Ford chassis would they be able to stick a modern wheel on there to move it around, and if...

A post asking for info garnered a response from Scott Conger about a Linderman jointing machine to build wood.

People have said that these machines were not used to make larger wood pieces in Model T bodies.

Here are pictures of the remains of my original Centerdoor body sills.

They were assembled using a machine that makes tiny dovetails...

I gather that engines were made in only a few plants (Detroit, Long Island, Manchester, Walkerville ) and were shipped to the many assembly plants (Oklahoma City, New Orleans, Los Angeles, etc., etc.) to be put into cars. Were engines made anywhere other than those four places?

I Am assembling my differential and need a picture of the ring gear safety wiring. Any picture would be appreciated.

I’ve been thinking of getting the left hand Ruckstel shifter from Lang’s to give me more leg room in my 27 Roadster. Lang’s add says the lever runs up through the hand brake opening in the floorboard. That seems like a crowded fit, will the hand brake still function correctly or am I misunderstanding the instructions ?

I saw this photo posted on a different website. It look like an alumium body. The flag is a union jack so I guess it's somewhere in the old dart.
