After 4-5 hours its bubbly and has been effective so I wash the sheet metal with a cup of the wife’s Arm n Hammer in water depending on how many sheet metal pieces I have to neutralize. Three small brass pins are pressed into the case and bezel to hold the bezel in place. The holes in the bezel must line up with the holes in the case.

To my knowledge no one has reproduced a pickup bed. It is in amazing condition. Maybe someone else knows of a reproduction bed.

The tail light is original has been converted to have brake light also.I have seen 26/27 coupes with original Gun Metal Blue paint.Tudor's came in Fawn Gray,Highland Green,Royal Maroon and Black I guess.
They don't list Tudors coming in Gun Metal Blue but I do what I like.

For the carburetor end, bend the wire about 80 degrees in toward the carburetor, and go about 3/16 in, and then straighten it out again. Cut the wire about 1/4 past that.

Neither the body on my 1919 touring nor the top bows on my car are original. They both were pieced together, and I did all the wood work myself, so the measurements may be slightly off. With that disclaimer out of the way:

Bob Bergstadt almost correctly reproduced the water inlet and outlet bolts. For some reason he always has them threaded up further than the originals. I don't understand why.

Could he possibly be selling the same bolt for another application? I wouldn't make two different bolts just so that something that doesn't show would be correct?

I run outside oil lines religiously. Usualy one Mag. post and one hogs head plus the large funnel inside. I no longer use the copper line, I use steel line.

Initially I purchased just the ECCT without the software. When I purchased the software, it made adjusting the coils easier and more precise. Later I got the Mag software. I would recommend purchasing all software. I have 2 I timers. They are fantastic and very cost effective.

The light forks are not 09/10 either. The radiator does not have the flying Ford. When was the support added to the fins on a brass radiator?

Unfortunately, no. I don't presently have any Heinz coils available. I created that image illustrating the fuse jumper connected across the point contacts. The objective of the fuse jumper is to bypass (short out) the coil point contacts so all primary coil current passes through the fuse jumper rather than the coil point contacts. The coil points...

This is interesting. When I bought my 1910 I was told by others that had 1910 Ts, that the difference with the 1910 hoods was that they had iron handles. So did all these owners have later hoods on their 1910s?

If you use the incorrect firewall brackets, it puts the firewall in a different location

If I move the cowl forward, the inner cowl frame uprights will not screw into the sill.

Thanks everyone. I opted for the book. Delaying the inevitable I suppose!

No more than $400.00. Radiator shell may be good enough to clean up and use along with the cowl, maybe. The engine may not be cracked. T’s have been built up with parts like these and turned out pretty good but as the old saying goes “one mans trash is another mans treasure”.

Nick. This unit that you describe may be similar to the Startix unit that was on a 1932 Essex that I had. It would engage the starter as soon as the key was turned on, disengage it when it sensed generator output and re-engage if the car stalled. Here is some info

A good hardware store has em. Like McMaster carr , Ace. Head will be 3/4 . You can remove the grade marks & paint.

I'm a little more picky than most. I also ordered a set of show quality looms from Langs many years ago and was disappointed. I found a local company to copy the originals exactly. They even wove in the original Ford script tags. Of course this all cost me three times more money.

What can i use to keep carbon free the intake valves and pistons on a T engine ?

You have to start with everything clean, then use detergent oil and those deposits won’t form unless something is seriously wrong.

I have had one on my TT for a couple years. 6 volt. I drive often after dark getting home.
Havnt had to put a charger on it all season. I top it off with trickle chatger a couple times over the winter sleep.
Two thumbs up here.

Re: T in front of standard oil derrick: When I was a kid, there were 4 of those rigs within 600 to 1500 feet of the house. A fifth well had a steel derrick, but retained the standard rig front. Two of the outfits were operational and pumping oil. One was powered by a Bessemer 25/30 HP single cylinder, 2 cycle gas engine, and the other was powered...

If it is the old style shaft that would have had a grease fitting on the end, get the correct style for your year when you replace it. This style used oil not grease and is filled thru the plug in the pulley. Tried grease in mine (1921 same style), that did not work out too well, grease was not getting to the bushing. Or replace the pulley/hub...

I had a very similar issue with my 21 Touring a few years ago with firewall to body fit up. I built up the Touring body on the main body sills on the frame that the body brackets were attached to. Luckily I had only attached the two front body brackets to the sills and the rest were held into place by clamps.

Those gears look New!! That tower sure looks like somebody made it? Sometimes the little steel balls and springs get sticky with hard grease for not being used.. Since it has evidence of modification I'd check to make all the balls are actually in there with the springs..

RV, that's a lot of ifs ! :D I'd like to add another. If any one of your list of ifs is off, it will throw the fit off too.

The only way I could get the hood to fit on my 1915 was to shift the hole in the metal former. It went both sideways and up before the back edge of the hood would line up. I had to fill the original hole with a solid plug...

Got it off!!

On my 27 touring I reversed the shifter in the housing. Just remove the shifter, turn it 180 degrees and re-install. It will fit either way. That makes it sit close to the seat. Then I shortened it so the top of the shift knob is at the top of seat cushion or slightly above it. Leave it just tall enough so you can use the palm of your hand to bump...

Your point about setting the hair spring 'zero' load to be very light, was the key to problem. I found the performance of the speedo is extremely sensitive...
