Definitely white tires on that Model T truck- in the bed and on the front the ground. Were the solid rubber tires like on the rear ever made out of white rubber too?

Word of caution; be aware of free (unexpected) starts when making adjustments to the timer with the key set on “BAT”.
The timer is very close to the fan and I do not recommend doing any work to the timer if there is a potential for the car to start for that reason.

My niece, a 5th grade school teacher, saw our Model T at a doins' in San Jose in September and asked if I could bring it to her school to share with her class. They don't do field trips and she felt her students would really like it. How hard could it be? Drive the car there, let the kids see it and return home. Easy. Then I thought of all the...

The problem with altering sleeve thickness, axle diameter & adding shim to compensate for worn Hyatt bearings, is that Hyatt rollers do NOT wear evenly, without taper. Have what looks like an early low head with no Made in USA or Ford on it, has the big casting chablets in it, was wondering if it is an early Canadian head? Any help would be great, sorry guys I am not a computer gurue for Pictures, have to ask my wife to do that!

My Canadian 1913 touring was built in Dec 1912, and has Ford & Made in USA on both the block & head. It is very original with only 3200 miles on it, and I am the 3rd owner from new. It was sold in Montreal, so is LHD with no holes in the frame for RHD steering.
It appears to have been made in Detroit and shipped across the river. The only thing...

Mark there is no room for a spring on bottom side and still use the back leverage keeper bolt at the outside end of the car
So i rig up a return spring as suggested on the lever now levers are set up for cables not sure why most everything I read says to covert to steel rods

I've known about Motor Mica for years as I use it in my cartridge reloading hobby.........but never knew exactly HOW it was used in a motor . Today I stumbled across an old can on Ebay and the label caught my eye.
Excellent for Ford transmission bands. Add proportional amount to oil (whatever that means). For best results pour directly over...

I envy you guys that have spacious garages in the country that have room for five cars, mountains of specialty tools and .. even heat. Thought you might enjoy what an urban model T owner has. My house and garage was built in 1919 and there are two bays in the unheated garage. One side has a table saw, bandsaw, sander, drill press, metal shear and...

The top of my newly acquired T hasn't had the top up in 40 years or so. I'm at least 4 to 5 short of the windshield.
Is there any kind of conditioner/ treatment/ technique to get it re-stretched? Thanks for your consideration.

Model T enthusiasts may have fun singing the 12 Model T Days of Christmas song at your holiday gathering!
The inaugural 'performance' was last weekend at the Tickin' Ts chapter party (Columbus OH) and the Henry's Hoosiers chapter (Richmond IN) perfected it at our party last night.
Have fun! Merry Christmas!

I had an 8 hp high wheeler and it had a factory 1” NPT schebler D. . The F is 12 Hp and takes a 1 1/4” throat carb. These are all pretty low rpm engines, but that is how the factory sized them. In my opinion it would be for about a 8-10hp auto engine, but probably not a ford application. A couple of years too late for the ford C model. I’ve seen...

Tidbit from the past, April 28, 1922 news report.
If this newspaper report is true, guess Mr. Ford didn't have a driver that day or that guy may have left the car alone.
By 1922, Henry Ford driving a car on the streets of Detroit perhaps would have backed up traffic :)

There is or was a Model T Coupe in the Ford Museum that Henry Ford drove. As I remember, it was a 22 or 23 style. It had been Upgraded several times. It had a 26-27 rear end and other improvements. Henry used a big auto for family use. Before he bought the Lincoln Co. he used other big makes. He drove a preproduction 1909 Model T on a trial trip...

This is a story my Uncle Paul told me forty some years ago: Back in the days when Henry Ford, Harvey Firestone, Thomas Edison, and John Burroughs were taking their famous camping trips, they drove into a gas station and Henry asked the attendant to check the air in his tires. As the kid bent over to check the left front, Henry, who was driving,...

After a break, I went back at it.
