about why tire sidewalls would crack( like our T tires were doing). This ad was on the old tv show “ Dupont Show of the Month “ in 1958. The DUpont ad said that ozone will cause tire sidewalls to crack and break. This a natural process. DuPont developed neoprene to add to tires to stop the cracks.

I purchased an original Rands windshield a while back and with it came the windshield support rods. I’ve seen other support rods with a bend near the top. These are completely straight all the way down. Can someone who has a 12 verify? One of the rods is heavier gauge brass tube as you can see in the picture.

I had bookmarked the late Phil Mino's website showing his original 11 Touring details. That car and mine were only about 100 apart on engine numbers. I have a cutout on back order from Langs. By the looks of it other suppliers have the same problem. Anyone in the know have any idea why they're hard to get? Is it only one supplier or a demand issue. I'm just curious. Appears I may not be the only person. I'm just biding my time.

I happened on some great footage of model Ts of the Australian 1st Light Car Patrol, raiding Aleppo or Halep as it was then called, it was then part of the Ottoman Empire, it now is in Syria (and in a bad situation again, history repeats)
First we see a collumn of LCP model Ts, later on they are joined by some magnificent Rolls Royce Mk1 Armoured...

This is the typical 1909-1910 threaded style you see in all the vendor catalogs, the soldered one looks a bit different in that it has a flange that looks sort of square I think, not sure really I only got a glimpse of one at the last HME (Holiday Motor Excursion) I was at.

I bought new hood shelves and hood handles but having an impossible time replacing the hood hold down handle next to the starter. Is there a method to installing that hood handle which obviously I am not aware of? It is a wood hood shelf for a brass model that I installed a starter on. Any and all help greatly appreciated. Does anyone know anything about the swap meet held at McDonald GMC/Cadillac in Saginaw? This year's meet is on January 26th and advertises Car Parts for all Makes and Models. I found it on a Model A events listing. They've been doing it for 38 years and I just wonder if they usually have many T parts?

I have no real idea when this one used, maybe somebody here knows...but I'm thinking that it was used sometime later in 1909, because the first 2500 cars had a different sediment bulb than this one...it I think was longer and more square looking and I think had it's own shutoff valve.

I have a mid June 15 touring car with magneto headlights. The steering column was never made to hold wires or a button for a magneto horn but it has the wooden block under the upholstery to mount a bulb horn.

Ok so in Colorado we are getting a bit of snow so I thought I would take the T out for a spin today. It did really well despite not having chains which I now want. I bought this Ford and Brown marked tail light recently and was wondering what year it'd be for.

I bought rebuilt coils about 5 years ago. There is no arcing across the points while running them on battery (6 volts dc).
I switch over to magneto and I have spark across the points. It looks like a roman candle. It disappears if I switch back to battery. What is going on with the coils and ought the coils not be run on magneto if they are...

I am in the process of replacing the bands in my '13 Touring. A friend of mine sent me the photograph below showing a gap in the bands. The picture came from the website of Kohnke Re-babbiting. What are the percentages of underdrive and overdrive with an aluminum case Warford? I'm trying to decide on a 3.63 or 4.00 gear in the rear.

Am thinking about rebuilding the top on my ‘23 runabout. I have these pieces that were used to finish the ends of hidem welt. The top one was near the arm rest. Thinking one in the middle is model A rather than T. The bottom one was on the top trim.

I’m assembling a new never installed Ruckstell. I’ve had it probably ten years or more and never assembled. All but one of the rivets holding the inner end of the tube are loose. I trued bucking and setting with an air hammer but not getting good results. Has anybody ran into this before?

Our Foothills Model T Club in Calgary has taken on a winter project to make some license plate toppers.
One approach is to use our Club's logo as a basis.
It is essentially the early Ford The universal Car image with our Club's name on it.

Working on a 1925. Magneto works fine when the engine is cold and puts out 25 volts. After about a half hour of driving it stops working properly and drops down to about eight volts and will only run on battery. Once the engine cools down, voltage is back up. Has anybody experienced this problem? Any suggestions?

Hershey is always a treasure hunt for us spark plug collectors. I found a nice batch this year including some NOS plugs and insulators for the Ts.
Managed to find some NOS in the box Ford Script brass top Champion insulators as well as some of the early straight sided Chamption X insulators. They were quite reasonable too. I know a lot of you also...

I have two different styles of Champion X spark plugs. The style that appears to be of older vintage has the ceramic .285 below the face. The other is only .105. Would these be two different heat ranges?

A friend got this early front axle and is looking for any markings and found this on one of the spindles.
Looks like a P, K and F and the set of numbers.
I’m guessing a replacement from an aftermarket source.

I am re-assembling the rear end of my T. I have two new axles with the old gears that were OK. When I assembled left and right axles, and the spider gears to the ring gear carrier with a new little bronze disk between the inner ends of the axles, the whole assembly is locked up.
