Also, the Mag Coil ring needs a notch on the left side to clear the starter bendix drive. Unless the previous owner was planning on a starter at some time later, more than likely the original flywheel and mag ring was used.

Number 6 is definitely a T, I have the details in my files somewhere the car is RHD and Australian.

I will say that I'm also making Diode cutouts that are able to handle 60A which is 2x what the NuRex cutouts handle, and are $8 less expensive. Honestly I wouldn't waste time on cutouts...

Here is a photo from the Bill Smith collection of a Roof 8 valve head converted to overhead cam. The front and rear of the head has had holes drilled and plugged for water passages.

These photos of 'Master' brand were posted a while back. Seems to be similar to Rocky Mtn.

This older period adv of Master shows an artist drawing, not sure what the large rear casing part is about. The adv does mention cast iron drum, in two sizes 8 and 10 for heavier bodies.

Norman... Hate to break the news to you, but you do not need a backup timer for the. E-TIMER ...... Just my own humble opinion and experience.

Before you go changing anything, find out just where the interference is occurring. Look for rub marks on the hub or axle seal or ??? and address the issue from there. If you find no evidence of interference, try giving everything a very light coat of spray paint, reassemble until it gets snug, move things around a bit, then disassemble and look...

I checked the 1920 parts book and found that the rear fender irons are the same from 1913 through 1920 and both the coupe and the roadster used the same iron. Ruckstell did produce a 13/40 ring and pinion set. The Ruckstell 40 tooth ring gear was different from a FORD 40 tooth ring gear in order to accomodate the larger 13 tooth pinion. Hi Art ..... I'm not sure who made those capacitors, or even if they're still in business that I noticed also that they're not available. The ones that I installed in coil rebuilds as far as I know or still working because I haven't had any complaints.

The blocks had the Ford script and Made in Canada on them until the end of production, and the C first on the engine number.

On the topic of spark plugs for T’s with multiple electrodes, the only one I know of that always makes multiple sparks is the aptly named Twin Fire.

In my experience, full size batteries outlast the smaller ones almost without exception. Applying a heavy draw, such as a T starter, to a small battery will probably shorten its life, and they seem to come with a short life built in. For non-starter use, a smaller battery ought to do fine, other than its lower storage...

The original New Day timers were dark brown. The bodies were made of Bakelite. If you rub a spot fairly hard on one for about five seconds to get it warm you'll notice a sort of petroleum aroma to it.

Appreciate the comments Hap - supposed history of this '15 Touring was it was one of the xxx number built during the 1915 San Francisco Expo ! I'll check the housings a bit closer BUT they both take the later open spool & it's a later type torque tube so I'm assuming they were modified .

The T-GO head is a good runner, they do need a water pump as they don't seem to thermosyphon very well. D.P. had two of them & he said that
they are from a batch that had porosity issues and needed to be repaired many times. W.M. has one one his 13 and it seems to be indestructible.

Those are hack fenders. I bought 2 for a speedster I built.

I know you're saying hack fenders because they're not rounded on both ends, but I think hack fenders would not be so long. Maybe TT fenders with one end modified to attach to the running board?

Another T product that’s being offered online as a “fits all”. Sold as a 1908-27. It doesn’t fit all and manufactured by folks who don’t have correct information about Model T’s. Definitely not made by knowledgeable people. Same type of thinking that all Model T’s were black.

I think you will be happy with Heritage. They fabricated some shades for my Model A Victoria and mimicked the original fabric pretty well. The tassels they used look like the real deal (but that is a Model A thing). Be specific about what you want when talking to them.

Jerry and others were right; the issue wasn’t carbon tracking. The orientation of the #3 terminal on the timer was such that it contacted the cam gear cover. Evidently I had done my isolation checks with the timer off. :roll: I corrected the #3 terminal and it runs fine now, but I am going to get the plastic rebuild kit.

Installing the glass in your windshield frame is easy if you take the frame to your nearby glass shop and let them do it properly. It not that expensive. If you break it while you try to install it, you just doubled the cost.
