A friend just gave me this wheel. It states Bauer Tilt Wheel. It appears

The Canadian 1925 to 1927 Model Ts had a Rim Tire Change Tool that kind of looked like a varmit trap with big springs and short pegs that fit those holes near the rim break.

A friend has an early Dodge with the same rims.

So filling up today noted the cardboard pieces are pretty well spent and would like to replace them. This is a 26 Fordor and mine are in two pieces (picture 3).

The fuel valve on my 27 Roadster has gotten impossible to turn off or on. Before I installed it about 4 years ago I lapped the brass valve with lapping compound and it’s worked great, easily turned and no leaks. Well I still have no leaks but it’s very stiff. Will it need to be lapped every so often to keep it operating?

Notice the very light duty wire wheels in the photo. I have had these before (non demountable) and thought they were for a cycle car. They are straight edge rims without a rolled edge.
