I was taking pictures when I was 14, but I wasn't this good.

Any advice on where to get new windshield glass for a 1913? Every place I go to wants a template, none exists to my knowledge and I do not have any original glass to use.

Initially I found this typed letter in a file at THF Benson Library. I've since located it in the Flint Journal archives. I thought it touching, as Mrs. Ford writes a friend about the loss of a loved one and the Christmas season:

I found a nice Stevens Tool tap and die set a few weeks ago. It is in the steel embossed toolbox. All but one of the dies are stamped with the Stevens logo. I picked this up in Hershey this year. It's not marked Ford anywhere. Just the part number and the date. I'm thinking J&M, but they usually have their name in the casting, don't they? Also, wondering why it was removed. It shows almost no wear or damage, I have not checked the balance yet.

I’m working to build a tool kit for my 1915 touring. I found two T-1387 wrenches one having markings of “Moore drop forged” and one with no markings other than part number and ford script. Would either of these match what was included in ‘15?

I rebuilt an engine with new sleeves, pistons, rings, valves, babbitt, and other new parts. I put it on my test stand and got it running just fine. It has only run about a half hour with no issues. My last test was to short out each plug to see if the engine speed slows down. Nothing changed on plugs one and two. Plugs three and four had a marked...

Here’s a 1939 colorized photo of a 27 T Coupe in a migrant camp in Oklahoma.
It may or may not be sort of staged with the guy playing a guitar but the T Coupe is the real deal that’s about at the end of the line. Expand the picture and take a closer look of a real world used up T. The added color really brings it out.

When Mike Berg quit the radiator business he put his equipment and enough parts to make a number of radiators up for sale. Do you know if anyone bought the business and is planning to make his Model T Radiators again?

So I know that the 1926/7 Touring cars are the easiest to install the interior wood. I found that the numbers can get a little confusing so I hope this helps others. First not all touring cars are the same. Some use less wood than others at the top of the side panels and instead of wood they have a metal lip that the top of the panel tucks into....

I have a fairly decent set of windshield support rods for my 1912 Roadster, with the exception of cracking as shown in the photos. Since I believe these are brass plated steel, I am thinking they could be repaired by TIG welding and then replated. I am guessing you brass guys have run into this very thing. Any advice?

One more question. My 26 touring has a very presentable but very old top that has a few small ( smaller than a nickel) holes. I am concerned that when I get it back on the road that the wind will cause the holes to tear. Any ideas on patches? Does the front axle where the spindle goes in get a bushing?

Does the spindle where the wishbone goes in get a bushing?

Both are either so worn I can't tell if there is a bushing or there is no bushing needed.

This is a non-Hayes fixed lug rim on a Hayes felloe. Note the lug stands off the outside face of the felloe just as the Hayes lug does. The rim wedges on the inside land of the felloe as it should. The take home message is fixed lug rims fit on the felloe in the same way, but a zHaues rim needs the relief in the felloe for the foot on the lug....
