Does anybody recognize these hubs? They take the same bearings as a Model T front hub. The one on the right was actually machined for a AC Speedometer gear, although it was brazed on. Model T hub caps fit on them also. They have a ring that is used on the outside. I believe the wheel would be clamped between the hub and outer ring. I’m not sure...

Thanks to youse guys, the friend's 1925 horn under discussion in the last few days has been fixed and mounted back on the engine. The horn sounds great! To my pleasant surprise, the horn button on the steering column is functional! I was expecting a bare knuckles fist fight there, too. Whew! One less headache for me to deal with.

I love to see photos of repair shops back in the day. Invariably, shop furnishings and most fixtures were arrangements of wood blocks and timbers. I have been thinking about getting an Aermore whistle but I am not sure what size I should be looking for. The most common size I see is the No. 2, but I don’t know if that will work on a T. I see that there are smaller sizes, but I don’t seem to see them for sale and can’t find dimensions.

I am trying to gauge interest for new Wizard/Simmons jets. Many folks believe that they are the same as the jet found in NH's, but they are NOT, and substituting an NH jet into a Wizard/Simmons, will not give the designed performance.

I have a 1914 Touring that was rebuilt a couple of thousand miles ago. I run it at reasonable speeds, I change the oil every 400-500 miles(synthetic 10w-30w) and it sounds just as good as new. How often does the engine need to be torn down to inspect the bearings?? How often does the head need to come off and the carbon cleaned off the pistons??...

I'm planning on recharging the magneto on my '14 and it already has an outside oiler at the mag post. Can I safely recharge the mag through the spring-loaded oiler post or will the current be too high and do damage?

This is a picture of the driver's side rear side panel area. (where the door latches) If I put my tacks that hold the interior panel on the main part of the wood they will be about an inch from the edge. Or are the tacks supposed to go through the holes in the metal and then into the wood?

In addition to changing my bands to Kevlar, I also suspect that I have a clogged oil line….. I was going to kill two birds with one stone.
So now the question becomes, Don’t I need to remove the hogshead to get to the oil line on a 27 Tudor?….. this is my first model T project and I don’t know another way to clean the oil line….. am I just missing...

Has anyone else experienced a kevlar band on the brake drum swelling?

Mine did during a short 10-mile trip and caused the car to stall. Not much room left to loosen the band - running out of threads on the pedal shaft.

I would assume that bands settle in and compress some over time.

Can anyone recommend the cheapest new 21 inch tires? I just don't have much cash to spare at the moment. My car has 60- 70 year old tires that are still holding up but I am wanting to put the miles on the old girl come spring and I definitely have concerns about getting too far from home with tires so old.
