I got two (2) Simpson 260 meters that are only good for parts. I have fixed mine meter and need to get rid of the rest.
One has case , other doesn’t.
Meter movements look good and the rest is there.
If you paid shipping they are yours. I hate to just trash them.

Simpson 260 series is probably one of the best general use analog Volt/ohm meters ever made! Well worth having and maintaining them.
I already have one good one, one parts meter, and a barely ever used like new with original case and manual!
With already too much junk, I will have to pass. But I hope someone else can see some value there and use them for keeping a couple others viable for practical use.

Good, old, well made, Volt/ohm meters can be used accurately for many things that most modern digital meters cannot do. Their natural dwell time allows them to work better with unstable electrical environments and deal with moderate level Voltage spikes without damage. Like a model T magneto.

I got a set from Amazon but they are loose at the plug in connections and will not keep contact. I tried smashing to widen them but they are just too small.

There are adaptors on ebay and amazon to plug a standard lead into and then into the meter. I had to snug them with pliers to make them work.
I will wait before saying I will take them to give others that may not have Any parts meters and need them worse than i do, as i have a couple. But if no one needs them,don't can them, just let me know by email or pm, and I will glady pay the shipping for them sir.thanks for giving folks a chance at some parts.
I would much rather use a analog meter for older car repair work

I have what is essentially a nos Triplett meter. still has box and the leads that have never been untwisted.
I don't use it and it stays in it's box. Seems to be a quality meter.
But when it comes to doing work on cars and such, if you are checking to see if a charging system is working on a car or lawnmower, you can read the battery voltage, start the machine,and watch the needle go back and forth as rpm's change and so on. A digital meter,just looks like the national debt calculator, the numbers are a uninformative blurr.

And if you may not know, if you are buying a analog meter,always try to get the 1 with a mirrored face. The reason being the reading can be more accurate because if you see the reflection in the mirror of the needle,you need to adjust your viewing angle until you can't for the more accurate reading.

Those Triplett meters are good ones also. My dad had one of those that he used for many years also.
