krylon gloss black
Am I the only 1 that can not find a can of normal krylon gloss black any more? It is missing in every store I used to buy it from.It looks better on some stuff than rustoleum. How black can be different is confusing. But i can't find anything but 2x and fusion.

Re: krylon gloss black
I used to use Krylon, but their spray nozzles seemed to clog up after only one or two uses, wasting most of the paint in the can.

Hi Mack,
Have you tried Rustoleum black engine paint? It costs more but covers better & shines better. Someone told me they painted a replacement
fender on their T and it looked like a pro job.
Craig.

Re: krylon gloss black
Well I dug around on the net and found a way to ask the company and this is the reply I got.
Gee thanks folks for taking a useful product away from us
The plan is to ask which paint is nearest to the same shade and see if I get a reply/

Mack
I believe that you got only a partial answer from that rep.
I, too, have run into issues with Krylon and not being able to find a particular P/N for love or money. I have found in every instance after exhaustive internet searches as well as email with representatives that in nearly every case (every case for me) that either the quantity size is discontinued, or the part number has changed but you can still, in fact, buy the same product you want (either in a different size can, or through a different part number).
My latest example was their "satin black" which I use for engines and a few suspension parts.
Good Luck, and keep trying.

Re: krylon gloss black
I have used this stuff with outstanding results. High flow tip allows for paint to lay on wet, not partially dry like with a lower flow nozzle. Solvents begin to flash off about 20 mins after spraying, leaving a soft but dry surface within 90 mins. Takes about 4 days for paint to harden up as solvents continue to be released.
Surface can be wet sanded and buffed. [/size]

Hi Mack,
Rust Tough with Anti Rust technology would be the nearest match, the part number for the Semi Gloss Black is K09267008
I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have further questions or concerns.
Kind regards,
Alex
