Just a 20 year old who listens to 40 year old music, works on 75 year old airplanes and drives 100 year old cars.

I have a soft spot for the Piper L4, and the Goony bird is such a joy to hear lumbering overhead at a sedate speed, but what really makes my heart skip a couple of beats is the F4 Corsair, that thing is sooo beautiful and the noise of one blasting by low at full throttle is unbelievable !

When in trouble, do not fear, blame the second engineer !

Great pictures. Thanks for posting. My Dad was a pilot, and my Uncle was a mechanic in the Army Air Corps during WW 2. The sight and sounds of a B17 flying fortress, or a B25 Mitchell brings an emotional response in me.

They have a lot of T28 Trojans there this year.
Yesterday I meandered over some of the more modern ones but I still like the warbirds the best!

My uncle made this for his sister (my mother) in 1944 in the South Pacific as a distraction while sitting in bunkers during air raids. They were island hopping towards Okinawa and Japan before the bomb was dropped.

Sorry foe the long delay, i hope that these pictures load since the forum is being slow.
If you have never seen the night airshow it is spectaclar!
The planes shoot REAL FIREWORKS from their wings and have what look like giant sparklers coming out of the back of them.
