We need some humor. The most expensive dress produced in 2020!
A Model "T" and a diamond ring is cheaper this year!

The problem is she would need to "bear" all before putting the dress on....
To bring it into topic (kinda sorta)... I always found it interesting that the Sears catalog in the early 20's sold rolls of "crepe paper" as toilet tissue... not that it puts the "T" in TP, but I have to stretch it somehow...

My grandmother hung a sears catalog in the bathroom of her rooming house. Each roomer needed to bring a roll of T.P. and take back to the room!

My dad said that during the depression, the Sears catalog intentionaly had a bunch of unprinted pages, just for that purpose. Thanks SearsSusanne wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 12:28 amThe problem is she would need to "bear" all before putting the dress on....

I was told by an uncle he preferred the “harness section” of the Sears catalog. The pages were rougher, i.e. not glossy like the clothing and housewares section. They worked better.

The voice of experience for sure...
Dad also had directions on the proper use of corn cobs, for the same purpose. You had white corn cobs and brown corn cobs. You start with brown corn cobs, then use a white one, to see if you need another brown one.

Did I ever tell you the story about Pouporri while I was in Ireland? It’s not for this forum. It makes Sears catalog and corn cobs tame.
