Winfield Carbs
I know Winfield carbs were made in different sizes. What are the largest and smallest Winfield carbs? What is the largest size that can be used om a T motor, while still retaining drivability for street use, if the motor has a .280 or .290 lift cam and a Model A exhaust manifold? Is a Winfield even recommended for street driving?

Check out this article on the evolution of the Winfield carbs
https://www.nwvs.org/Technical/2104WinfieldHV.pdf
The Winfield catalog shows a S-A-U for a performance T or stock A application, I’m about to put a S-AA-U on the A crank motor in my ‘15 touring

Re: Winfield Carbs
Here is a 4V I ran on my ol ‘27 roadster. It ran kinda funky at first, but after building a new barrel and boring the housing to seal up the vacuum leaks at idle, and figuring out that the idle screw and air bleeds were installed in the wrong screw holes, it ran like a top! Basically stock T engine
S-B-D on my dads Fronty powered touring And the S-AA-U going on my somewhat modified T touring
SR-C-U on my noticeably modified T speedster motor... for now!

Re: Winfield Carbs
Check with Brauns Automotive down in SoCal. He started making his own accelerator pump diaphragms after having issues with leaking gas thru the center rivet
